Even those of you who do not believe in creationism must admit that there are way too many holes in the theory of evolution. Just as there are way too many holes in the theory of "Global Warming".
Yet I could fill a textbook with the many different facts from atheists on this board who disagree with global warming. I have read your very intelligent arguments as to why all the facts need to be taught. You all state that children need to be exposed to all theories if we are to properly educate them. Well, just as wee should have our children taught both sides about "Global Warming", we should have them taught both sides of how man and this planet came into existence.
All theories should be given a fair opportunity when it comes to education. Not just the theories that the left want to promote.
One is science and should be taught as such, the other is religion and should be taught as such.
The poll question is biased to start with. They lump Creationism with Intelligent Design, and they are not the same thing. Some people might agree with teaching ID and Evo, but not Creationism. That skews the poll.
Keep it up troglodytes. This is how you push intelligent folks into the 0 camp. Keep going.
Make the “alongside” as in the title.
Personally, I don’t think either of them should be taught in public primary schools, at least as a required course.
And how many of the dozens, or possibly hundreds of different versions of creation would you include?
Not a hard thing to do. Who else is the Intelligent Designer?
In public schools NO, in private schools YES.
You just can't stop people from learning the truth no matter who you try to ridicule people or say Creaton is “religion”. It's NOT working.
It needs to be in PUBLIC SCHOOLS too.
Private schools are already stomping on PUBLIC schools. Why deprive PUBLIC schools of some knowledge? It goes like this homeschoolers do the best, private schools are next and public schools are in the toilet.
Webster’s definition of both:
creationism—a doctrine or theory holding that matter, the various forms of life, and the world were created by God out of nothing and usually in the way described in Genesis
intelligent design—the theory that matter, the various forms of life, and the world were created by a designing intelligence
So actually, the second only verifies the first. No problem with either. I vote YES.
One of the major issues in the debate. Evos are unwilling to admit that.

Solution: Begin the process of privatizing universal K-12 education! Let parents, principals, and teachers **privately** decide on how these matters will be handled.
Also,....Please remember that evolution is merely one of the thousands of religiously, politically, and culturally non-neutral decisions that all schools must make. And....For most of these decisions there can be **no** neutral compromise.
Government schools never were, are not now, and never can be religiously neutral. For this reason we should start moving to private solution.
Well, all the wonders of this old earth (including us) just happened kind of like a great stone building being the result of a slide, a massive log hope being the result of a tornado, or a Van Gogh being the result of a paint spill.
I personally believe that physical evidence of our past, as well as interpretation of that evidence, should be taught. I do not think that will get us to our origin nor the origin of the earth. Evolution, Intelligent Design and other commonly held beliefs (such as Indian Lore) should be discussed. The bottom line is theory takes up where evidence leaves off, any belief in these theories is based on faith.
PS you don’t have to be nasty or threatening to communicate you FAITH in Evolution.
Evolution is a disproven THEORY
