Following a full day of testimony by a string of witnesses in the case of Casey Anthony and her missing two-year-old daughter, Caylee Anthony, a Florida grand jury has decided to indict Casey Anthony on a capital count.
The exact count that Anthony has been indicted on has been sealed until she is taken into custody. Since it is a capital crime, Anthony will not be allowed to bond out of jail.
Sources say Anthony should be taken into custody within the hour.
Stay with Investigation Discovery for more on this case as it develops!
Grand jury was convinced. We also have to remember there was probably evidence that we don’t know about.
how can you kill your little child?
Good! It was so obvious that she lied to the police. She knows what happened to that little girl.
The original story is that he was dead. When the police released tape of her Cindy Anthony, she said the father was never told of the pregnancy and never listed on the birth certificate.
A name was released of a guy supposedly the father who really had died, his family was asking for DNA tests to see if their now deceased son was indeed the father, never heard anymore about it.
I’m laying odds she slept with so many men in the time she got pregnant she had no idea who the father even was.
I rarely follow cases like this but this one has grabbed my attention. The way Casey struts around ,like she hasn’t a care in the world, and her nutty family ,putting on their show for the cameras, just infuriates me.
I think the authorities probably have themselves a pretty good case. I’ll bet that shovel, she borrowed, may produce some interesting evidence.
Leonard Padilla seems to indicate that the Dad will turn on her. I just want that cocky expression wiped off her face for good.
My wife’s theory is that the step dad is the father. Might explain the promiscuity and crazy lying.
“there was probably evidence that we dont know about.”
I understand that, but getting an indictment is completely different than getting a conviction. In a capital offense, the standard for a conviction is “beyond a shadow of a doubt.” Very high standard.
It is said that a decent prosecutor could get an indicemnt of a ‘ham sandwich.’ Not always a given, but considerably lower standard.
A simple DNA test could prove/disprove that. I think it could be feasible.
They will get an indictment and they will win.
Casey is responsible and everyone knows it. No mother would never report her child missing. It is not natral. Especially when she was out buying booze at the time her child was kidnapped. Casey is a liar.
When this dress evidence returns. Casey is going to be caught in her lies.
He probably described the clothing Caylee was dressed in that will amtch the dress EquuSearch has found and sent for DNA testing.
Tim seemed rather calm about that.
Casey wouldn’t be the first. Caylee was in the way of the kind of life she wished to live.
Small sacrifice to make Casey’s life better.
Same with Scott Peterson. His baby was like a noose around his neck.
From the headline it seems they already got the indictment, just waiting to arrest her and take her to court to have the indictment read.
What ‘makes sense’ to you and me doesn’t necessarily guarantee a conviction. Our laws are written to protect the person charged. There are the ‘technicalities’ on which defense attorneys depend to get their criminal clients off the hook. Viz, Ayers/Dohrn .. guilty as sin, admit it, but prosecutorial misconduct killed the chance to prosecute.
Hopefully the FL prosecutors have this one tighter than a drum, because you know the Anthony’s will end up getting the best criminal lawyers available to represent Casey .. or some media-hog hotshot attorney will offer to do it for nothing. S/he will then write a book to offset any lost income from the case, and attract more clients who can afford the fees.
YES! I needed to hear some good news.....
What step dad? There is no step dad in this story.
I don’t know how familiar you are with Florida, but the likelihood of a body being found is very slim. Alligators and many small creatures would have devoured the body long ago. Our soil is acidic and so after a period of time there wouldn’t even be bones left. They may never find much, if any, of a body in this case, unless it was wrapped up in plastic or a container of some sort. The shovel, the gas cans, the cell phone records indicating a location of remote and swampy area, all indicate that the body was disposed of, probably burned, and most likely whatever remains were devoured by animals. The tell-tale evidence will be the forensic discovery of the dead-body smell data, the chloroform residue, the chloroform research on her computer, the full blown argument in the front yard and the statements to her friends and acquaintances of “not wanting” the child........
He was her ex-fiance, but there is no evidence to support the supposition. The police too DNA samples from each of the Anthony family members for comparison testing. Lee Anthony initially balked at the idea and refused to give them a sample. That led some conspiracy theorists to conclude that he may have had something to do with the disappearance of Caylee or that he might actually be the father. Caylee's father was not listed on her birth certificate, that's why she has the "Anthony" last name. It was very convenient for Casey to have had a former paramour that was recently deceased in and auto accident.....
Why use a shovel in a swamp..it would be hard work would'nt it?
Swamp is a relative term. The body was probably fairly close to disintegration when it was disposed of. The shovel may have been for moving without touching. Also a hole dug for burning without a lot of flame showing above ground. This is why many suspect Lee Anthony, her brother, may have been involved........
