Suspected metal thieves took bronze and brass plaques honoring generations of Santa Ana High School students who died in wars.
Each of the six plaques weighing at least 30 pounds each were bolted high on a wall at the school's main entrance. They were discovered missing Wednesday.
Four plaques honored the school's more than 100 dead in World War I, World War II, the Korean War and the Vietnam War. A fifth commemorated the rededication of the school after a major earthquake in the 1930s and the sixth celebrated the school's 100th birthday in 1989. Principal Julie Infante calls the plaques irreplaceable, noting it's unclear if there are lists of former students killed in wartime.
Sick!
Now...what do you want to bet that the MSM will spin this into another story to confirm just how bad the economy is!
And for some reason scrap metal dealers are getting away with buying these things from thieves.
WTF do you expect from Santa Ana? Place has been overrun with illegals for decades.
“Each of the six plaques weighing at least 30 pounds each were bolted high on a wall”
“Each...each” - redundant
“each were bolted” - atrocious syntax
Ah, yes, no doubt a graduate of one of the fine public journalism schools in California...sheesh.
They've probably already been melted down by a Tijuana scrap metal dealer.

There are people who are surrounded by bigots
and know it is wrong, but are afraid to be vocal against it.
These people are going to pull the lever for Obama
and they are not being polled.

scrap metal dealers ....aren’t they barred by law from accepting obiously stolen material?
Like the Vandals sacking Rome.
