Unfairness Doctrine. Politically Correct censorship, The Double Standard Doctrine as CBS, ABC, NBC, CNN, MSNBC, NPR, PBS, Pacifica, et al will NOT require balance on their news programs, community affairs programs, or dramatizations.
The Obamunists are ushering in a chill wind.
It isn’t that Laura Ingraham, Rush Limbaugh, and Michael Medved don’t have clips or guests or callers with an opposing view, it is that the liberals do not get to set the show’s agenda.
But while the commercial media is beholden to no such doctrine, the 501c3 tax cheat left of the dial media IS because they VOLUNTARILY give up their right to political advocacy and endorsement by applying for that tax free status. And yet they still engage in such partisan broadcasting in violation of their tax charter.
Be blunt. Orwell was writing about Stalinism, not only in the USSR, but also in the US and UK. Call it what it is:
The Stalinist Doctrine.

It occurs to me that they might try and do this under some kind of “campaign finance reform” cover. They could claim that talk radio is advocacy that needs to come under the FEC. The basic concept would be the same - an opposing view must be presented - but with the FEC involved you could also get into the financial records, advertisng revenue and such and really make a mess. This would give the censors even more leverage to shut down Rush and the others. And there is a good chance that McCain would support the effort (there is no question that Hussein would).
Barack Obama has already said that it will be known as The People’s House, not the White House.

The fact that it’s called the “Fairness Doctrine” should be Orwellian enough.
But I suppose the “Ministry of Fairness” would be particularly apt for all the Slavery is Freedom doublespeak the lefties excel at.

The FEC needs to be disbanded. With $220million in illegal contributions in Obama’s coffers, with foreign phone banks calling US voters to get out the vote, with ACORN getting a pass until after the eleciton, with rising incidents of voter intimidation through vandalism, assault, threats, and arson, the FEC is not enforcing the laws they already have.
I would say that the FCC could get involved where a network news anchor presented forged documents on the eve of an election to try to swing voter support to the other candidate. That is fraud. SeeBS walked.
Rush calls it the Hush Rush bill.

I would be 100% behind this doctrine if it included “news” broadcasts as well. It would be like the SNL skits.
You want your “fairness doctrine”? Bring back the viewer commentary to broadcasts.
