I've had a busy day, so hope you will forgive me for being absent most of today.

We are leaving tomorrow morning for Avila Beach.
We will be back Wednesday evening. In time to cook the turkey!

Wishing everyone a Blessed Sunday and a Terrific Thanksgiving Week.

I'll try to check in once or twice.
Otherwise, see you Thursday.

If you find one, send her to me when she’s finished at your house! LOL!

....well for sure I wish this maid was working hard here right now!! It is almost midnight and I can tell you for a fact I am 3 hours passed my bedtime! I found a good buy on Yams and decided to bake them off and freeze them!! Bad idea!!!!!

GOOD night everyone. Have a great Sunday. Polly

I received an email the other day with a long list of closings of a variety of stores. We never know if these things are true or not but it did say Penney’s was closing a certain number of stores. I forget the number because there were so many stores listed. We have been worried about our Penney’s here in the Mall. It just doesn’t look like much going on at any of the stores in our Mall. It worries all of us but we will have to wait and see.

I broke up with my inner-self a while back. She/he was getting me into a pile of trouble, telling me I needed everything I saw or touched. I just don’t go to the Mall as much (or other stores) so that my inner-self will not start bugging me again! I only go now when I positively have to and since Christmas is coming I will have to go.

I will try to keep my name off of “my list of the ones I have to buy for”!! LOL~~~

You guys sure do put a smile on my face!

How Great Is Our God!
Can you bind the cluster of the Pleiades, or loose the belt of Orion? —Job 38:31

A team of astronomers from the University of Minnesota say they have found a giant hole in the universe. The void they’ve discovered is in a region of sky southwest of Orion. The mysterious empty place has no galaxies, stars, or even dark matter. One of the astronomers said that the hole in the heavens is a billion light-years across.

When I try to capture the meaning of such immensity, something happens to me. The fight goes out of me. I don’t know what to do with my thoughts. Who can relate to the magnitude of such emptiness?

Then I remember what the Lord did with Job. He drew His suffering servant’s attention to the same part of the night sky. Using the region of the constellation Orion along with the wonders of the weather and the natural world, the Lord brought Job to the end of his reasonings and arguments (Job 38:31; 42:5-6).

In the presence of such wonder, I want to join Job in collapsing before the Lord in surrender to His inexpressible power and wisdom. I want to let go of my anxiety, my anger, and my resistance to the mysterious leading of God. I want to claim my only confidence as being in the immeasurable greatness of our God.

I love that graphic, yorkie..Thank you!
Reminds me of why I went back to sleep this morning..My
youngest kitten decided to party last night and I waited too long
to get up and close my bedroom door to her.
