Good evening, and later....good morning for Election Week 2008.
Nobama's now-revealed plans to destroy the coal industry -which only produces about 50% of our electricity for pete's sake! - got me to thinking...
You've heard of...a children's menu???...certainly children's books?? and maybe children's story hour at the public library??
Well, now, my FRiends, to quote John McCain, we have in Senator Nobama, the Children's Candidate!
Yep that's what he is the Candidate for the Children, for you ARE a child if you believe in his nonsense...you can't even call them fairy tales, because those old gems often have strains of truth and morals to them.
Nope, this Obama character is the Child Candidate for the Children who hope adoringly for "change"....They believe he'll pay their bills, fill their gas tanks, make all those bad people go away by **poof** "talking to them"...
Well, it's been an amazing spectacle, and it's not over.
But us Adults have to...WILL... show up to vote on Tues.
Childhood is fine for about 15 years, then it's time to move on to responsibilities, liberty based in self-discipline, and all sorts of achievements depending on our choices.
Know any voters like I've described? Divert them to the toy story on Tues....
btw, 2/3rds, my children worked a lot of campaign time at 25 & Orchard...
Did you hear Michelle Bachman on Bennett?
That lady has some major class! She’s a very sharp cookie, too!
A quick hitter before the students come in for the day.
It's been a week. I was very discouraged on Wednesday morning, but I heard a thought from Father James Kavicki. His message in effect was although we didn't get the results we were hoping for we still need to remind ourselves that God is still in charge. As Jesus said to Pilate, "You wouldn't have this power unless it were granted to you from my Father from above." I keep that in mind and keeps me going.
I also heard conservative talk show host, (Charlie Sykes, WTMJ, 620 Radio, Milwaukee) say: we are Americans first. Let's hope for the success of Obama that will bring success to America. One of the things that I found breathless, as I am sure all of you did, was that liberals rooted for America's failure because they could string it around President Bush's neck. Their hatred was so great that they wanted to see America fail so they could link it directly to our President. We never want to go down that road. I agree.
I am willing to give Obama a chance; but if he starts to do things I morally oppose then I will speak up loud and strong.
It will also be interesting to see how the argument of dissent as patriotic will now play out with the democrats.
Peace and blessings to you all.
Jay
Glen Beck was taken off CNN for telling the truth. I watched his show every night. I know he has been tapped for a FOX show but not until Spring. Anybody heard anything else?
Charlie S - wise advice. Thanks.
Kerry is so full oh himself, I shutter to think what damage he can accomplish.
Good morning to all from Hoosierland....overcast this morning but some blue sky showing.
NY, I read your post with interest....someone also said they would show Obama as much respect as the democrats showed to President Bush. I will not hold back when O starts to lean very far left...I will write letters to the editor and speak out.
When I think about how President Bush tried to change the tone in Washington and how he was treated...I get all mad again!!!
Prayers for all in need. God is in control...I trust the Lord.
Absolutely.
We cannot have a hope of winning back our status as the leaders of the center-right country that America is unless we clearly, unequivocably demonstrate our differences from the governing party.
We all criticise Dean and the Communists that govern the other party for a lot of things, but one lesson we need to take to heart, seriously, is from the word "go" the left shrieked, shrilled, whined, complained. We all said they were a bunch of "morons" and were wrong, but they didn't stop.
Why?
Rightly or wrongly (it's definitely wrongly, but that's not the point), they believed what they thought was correct. They pushed forward and didn't listen to other folks laments.
They set themselves apart from the ruling class that were Republicans - they ensured they were seen as an alternative simply because there was no confusing them with us.
It's that simple.
We do not cooperate, we do not cowtow, we do not agree with their positions. We put the debate position simply at "they MUST agree with our position, or we don't talk." We must treat them as the enemy - every day, every hour, every minute, every mili-micro-nano second.
We MUST act as if we are right, because, as I said before...
>>>WE ARE RIGHT!!!
Believe!
ONLY if he agrees with conservative positions.
No honeymoon from this kid!
Good Morning, guess I’m dragging in on the Dawn Patrol. It’s beautiful in central Texas today, a bit nippy, by Texas standards 59 degrees at 0700.
I’ve been reading about Sarah and the shameless stories being put out by members of Sen McCain’s campaign “staff”, or should I say gossip mongers. I haven’t watched tv so I don’t know if mccain has come out defending Sarah.
I think I’ll have the egg and ham then add some grits for Roomey. Now I’m off to start the coffee.
The presumed Sec. of State, the “honorable”(?) fellow whose memory has been seered with his Christmas in Cabodia. I think I heard he once served in the Vietnam war. He gets botoxed.
And the formerly great state of MI is in what kind of shape????!!!
I agree, Chair. I’ll add one thing to your post. The written and visual media were the spokesman for the democrats. I saw little evidence of Republicans on tv during this campaign. When they did appear they did not use the word Democrat as the democrats used Republicans when applying a blame.
‘morning Molly. I’m afraid we’re about to begin a ride we were not prepared for. It will be bumpy. Hopefully in 4 years we’ll have pulled ourselves together and put up a strong Conservative candidate then President. One who puts America first.
I’m sure it’s been said but I think the motto for the Obama years is how can we spread the wealth when the stock market’s at zero?
If we’re lucky America will have a rebirth. Hope I’m alive to witness it.
Cleveland's loss to 2/3 rds Broncos was also painful last night
Things are surely a mess politically
Dolly, you sure have had some good birthday weather! I'm soooo jealous, 'cause a month from now...not so for me...boo hoo
You probably haven't been out and about so much tho with your broken wrist.
Later 'gator
Thanks.
