Will Obama be a one term President? - History says probably not

A lot of people are already preparing to adorn their cars with bumpers stickers that say "01-20-2013 Obama's last day". Let's look at history over the past 88 years to see the likelihood.

1921-1933 Republicans ran the White House ( Harding, Coolidge, Hoover - 12 years)

1933-1953 Democrats ran the White House (Roosevelt and Truman - 20 years)

1953-1961 Republicans ran the White House (Eisenhower - 8 years)

1961-1969 Democrats ran the White House ( Kennedy and Johnson - 8 Years)

1969-1977 Republicans ran the White House (Nixon and Ford - 8 years)

1977-1981 Democrats ran the White House (Carter – 4 years)

1981-1993 Republicans ran the White House (Reagan and Bush -12 years)

1993-2001 Democrats ran the White House (Clinton – 8 years)

2001-2009 Republicans ran the White House (Bush - 8 years)

As you can see, over the past 88 years, there was only one 4-year run by either the Democrats or Republicans, Carter 1977-2001.

If you look at years with truly open presidential races, 1920 and 1952, these terms were followed by terms of 8 years.

Even In 1976, 1980, 1992, and 2000, despite the problems in the country the incumbant party came within a weekend in winning the White House for a "second, third, or fourth" term. Single term is the exception, not the rule.

It's time for the GOP to get busy.

Obama has very little to do with past Presidents in that throughout his life he has embraced terrorists and communists, people who despise everything that this country is built on. A few prior Presidents may have been equally incompetent/untested/naive call it what you will, but none came from an unquestionably anti-American background. His entire career is either hidden or corruptly gained. Historical trends are interesting. Comparing him to a euro-elite might be more accurate.

Is it seriously possible that the left will totally ignore the U.S. Constitution and then keep Barack Obama as President for life as well as possibly cancel any future elections in ‘10, ‘12, etc.? This is one of my “too many to even count” concerns that leftists will profoundly change everything, even if they are really unconstitutional changes and even if the majority of people are really against such changes. Leftists will really do all kinds of things in order to always remain in political power.

We need to out-propaganda the democrats, we have facts and common sense on our side.

We need to be MORE political, we need to treat the next 4 years like it’s a week before election day to rid ourselves of this nightmare.

Also, we DON’T need RINO Michael Steele, who thinks the 2nd Amendment is about hunting to be the new face of the RNC.

I just got finished reading “the forgotten man”. There were these brothers that were prosecuted under the National Recovery Act. The fought their convictions all the way through the Supreme Court and won. The SCOTUS ruled that the commerce clause did not allow carte blanche govt control.

Despite being prosecuted by FDR, they all voted for him in 1940.

The media will be in the tank for him though, that is as good as gold right now.

He’s been getting by on his lack of a record. He oozes the arrogance of inexperience because he’s never felt the sting of defeat. He may not want to run for a second term after he sees what we’ll put him through in his first.

I haven't read the book, but I know the mentality. There seems to be quite a bit of it already as evidenced by this recent election where the dems, who ran the economy into the ground after two years in charge, were reelected in greater numbers.

IF he even makes it to inauguration, he won’t serve a full term. At least, that’s one prophesy echoed by Sean David Morton. Call it prophesy or just knowing there are those crazy enough to try to assassinate him (we’ve already seen reports of two who were planning it). I hope Morton is wrong, for the sake of America. An assassination will make him a martyr. (Wait, can you martyr a god?) And historians will blow it completely out of proportion. As they said in “The Man Who Shot Liberty Valence” when the legend becomes fact, print the legend.

Obama will overdo his communism along with the Dims in Congress - they just can’t resist it. As a consequence, the economy will tank and stay tanked; the world bad guys will run amok. Only 4 yrs for Obama.
