The reporting’s all over the place, but the attorney you’re quoting heard the same thing I heard. The first group of sentences, which have a five year minimum, run concurrently. The first armed robbery sentence with a two and a half year minimum runs consecutively with the first group, then the second armed robber sentence runs along with it. So, I got 7 1/2 also.

Fortunately, I’m just following the story on FR. I’m not surprised that Geraldo is there, but at least he has a plausible reason, having covered (sensationally, of course) the murder trial. It is ironic though how the cult of celebrity that made the O.J. Trial (and its result) possible persists to this day, and has now come back to haunt the one who got away with murder in part because of his own fame.

Terrorists behead people in order to scare others.

Did OJ kill to frighten someone else or were they killed by someone to frighten OJ?

Drug dealers killed them.

Hey, Ron Goldman. Was your son was a coke whore?

Before he killed Nicole, OJ was the “whitest” black man in America. Only when his chestnuts were in the fire, he remembered he was black.

It's especially delicious that the original trial occurred during the Clinton nineties - and that his prison sentencing occurred during Bush's term. I know it's due to different trials, but it is delicious news, and has a certain trend to it.

The day OJ was acquitted, I was at the Driver's License bureau in Denver. Everyone got silent and huddled around a TV in the office. When they announced "innocent" the crowd, greatly to my surprise, erupted in screams of hoorays, at top volume. People were jumping up and down, high-fiving, screaming in joy. (Kinda like the Obama victory announcement on election night.) I looked over at a Caucasian woman next to me, and her face registered disgust. A few other whites were in the room, every one of them was confused and disgusted, evry one was at once repulsed by the verdict, and astonished at the cheering. Every single person of color, to a T, was jumping up and down, smiling, screaming "Yes!"

It was unbelievable in scope, and in contrast. It taught me all I need to know about the future of America.

I guess O.J. can't keep looking for Nicole's killers now.

Something that's good...this is in Nevada, so I'm imagining that the racial make-up in the prison will not be favorable to O.J.

The day OJ was acquitted,

I was in the office in Brentwood (maybe 300 yards from where Orenthal offed his victims, across the street from the Mezzaluna)....we watched on TV, and then the procession home. Another afternoon of very heavy helichopter traffic in the area.

Pulling on flame retardent clothing here. OK, isn’t this his first Felony conviction? I seem to remember he was acquitted of murder. Sentence seems a little tough for 1st time loser. So he probably will get out in 5. Fire away!

I guess I find this sad. Of course I think he got away with murder. I'm regularly annoyed at Churchill Downs for allowing him to attend the Derby.

But I'm not in favor of the government imprisoning folks they, and maybe the masses, do not like and that's what happened here. A lot of us here on FR could be next.

Hopefully, with OJ’s escape from justice so obvious and well known, he’ll be denied parole forever and will die in prison.

Maybe some enlightened soul will give OJ the Jeffrey Dahmer treatment while he's behind bars.

You’re a lot better at calculating sentences than the attorneys on Fox News.

(BTW, I agree with you; it belongs in news. Putting it in chat just means it will be posted multiple times because it won't be on the news sidebar. I imagine the mods will get tired of a dozen or so OJ posts and it will eventually end up back in news.)

First one; let's see what happens:

He was tried by a jury of his peers. He has the option to appeal.
