We didn’t see the FBI again after the opening scene where they were looking for her. As for Jack, she’s coming around. They didn’t play it one way or another: does she consider herself their hostage or is she on board?

What are you talking about? He does several movies a year. He does a variety of type of movies, so it might be ones you haven’t seen.

Of course, he did shoot her and bury her in a ditch...but, I think she's got that one figger'd out.
I agree she’ll (eventually) partner with Jack and Tony.
But there’s some reason they left it so vague in the last episode. I’m just not sure she’s totally bought into their scheme as of now. Maybe she contacts Larry, damages Jack’s mission, then feels awful when it turns out Larry’s dirty? Some kind of twist like that before she’s finally on board.
All I want is for them NOT to kill off first dude now that he’s survived Brian!
But, 2 things I feel confident of:
1..Freckles is going to be a big part of the show up until hour 22. At that time or thereabouts, anything could happen to her.
2..FiDu will survive the attempt by RAT1, kill or capture RAT2 and get heavily involved with his "crazy wife" and try to bring some sanity back into the game.
She will of course resist and off we go into who knows what.
Chewbacca is right about one thing, this woman is insane!!!

They originally took over the planes several hours ago, and gave them back. AND all the planes were order to land several hours ago. They could have also told the planes to ignore strange messages, and to be on the lookout for other planes directed into their path.
But by now all the planes should be down. It is rediculous that 8 years after 9/11, they couldn’t get the planes on the ground in under 3 hours.
Why wouldn’t they be friends? They work in the same industry, and politics isn’t everything for most people. Mary Matalin married Carville, after all...
This show is certainly becoming unbelievable. Oh well, I had to tape the show and I just watched it, so now that I’ve read up to here I’ll comment.
1) If the JG character was played by someone that wasn’t so well-known as a liberal, I think we’d actually like her. In this show, she was complaining about how she couldn’t do her job because of all of the silly roadblocks and hurdles you have to jump through to “protect the rights” of people doing bad things. I guess it might have been subtle, but it seemed clear to me.
Put in that light, her earlier business at the hospital can be seen NOT as someone who was so supportive of the law that they hated to help her boss, but rather someone who so believes in the RULE OF LAW that it wasn’t easy to break the law, but she broke it anyway because in the end she was NOT against Freckles getting the information. And she certainly helped her buddy FBI guy go around the rules to find information about his wife’s plane.
2) This plane thing has gotten absurd. It was barely believable that they were able to schedule two planes to land on two runways so well that they would barely miss each other back around 9:30. But then they ordered all the planes down. The thought that, 8 years after 9/11, we’d still have a significant number of planes in the air 4 hours after they were ordered down is absurd.
Worse, one of the planes in the 2nd accident was a “commuter plane”. No way a commuter plane is still in the air 4 hours after being ordered down. The whole point of a commuter plane is short hops, and since they stopped letting planes take off after 9:30 or so there wouldn’t be a commuter plane in the air at 1:30.
Worse, while the first near-collision they explained by having a complete fog over the airport, and maybe the collision avoidance doesn’t work as you are landing.
But this crash was in broad daylight, in a no-fly zone, while every pilot has had 4 hours to learn that someone is crashing planes into each other.
About the only interesting thing about this plane crash is that I bet we will learn that this plane was supposed to be on the ground, but got bumped for the FBI agent’s wife’s plane.
3) How did Jack tell Bill about Freckles? I know he put something in her pocket, which would explain how they could find her by triangulating the cell phone. Except that they didn’t — Bill said that Jack called and told them where to look, and he described the terrain when they went to dig her up. IF they were tracking the cell phone, Chloe would have been there with some electronic gadget and saying “It’s nearby, The signal’s really strong here”.
And why didn’t Freckles turn her head to the left as they threw the last of the dirt over her. OK, I guess she didn’t know for a fact that Tony was working with Jack, so she couldn’t risk it, but it had to take exceptional control to lay with your face up and let yourself be suffocated without moving. In fact, that is unbelievable.
It would have been so easy for her once she was under the dirt to move her hand slowly up to her mouth and create a small breathing space — so I can’t imagine she’d let herself stop breathing instead.
Oh, and another thing. The plastic covering her was just a big sheet of undustrial plastic sitting around the site (which itself was absurd, since it wasn’t under any rocks and would have blown away a long time ago). But that kind of plastic is fairly sturdy, and when they dug her up it looked like saran wrap, when in fact the plastic they put over her originally would have had creases and folds that would have allowed air to get to her face no problem.
4) The argument in the cabinet after the planes crashed was contrived and absurd. At 9:30, they all knew the bad guy had the capability of crashing planes. And since he’s killing hundreds of thousands of his own people, they also knew he would have no problem doing so.
KNowing that, they made the decision to not give in to his demands. Making that decision pretty much assured that there would be an attack, unless the incompetent FBI was able to get the device back in the next hour.
So, why would they re-address their decision simply because what they knew would happen actually happened? The argument should have been “we told you what would happen”, not “we need to change our decision”. I’m glad the president wasn’t so stupid as to change her mind at that point, but why would anybody expect it?
5) Of course, the more rediculous thing is that we did NOT give in to the “demands”. After all, the “demand” was to pull back the troops. Now, how far back can you pull troops in an hour? And if you did, couldn’t you put them back in an hour? At worst, we had to delay the invasion by 6 hours or so until we had the planes down, or maybe 6 days while we re-wrote the firewall or found the device.
Sure, some people would die during that time in Sangali, but we already waited while a few hundred thousand died, so would another 6 hours really been a problem? Let the guy think he was getting his way while you try to catch him. If it doesn’t work, move the troops back in and go ahead with the invasion 12 hours late.
After all, it’s been 4 hours and if nothing else, we haven’t moved any of our troops FORWARD, or started the invasion, so in the 1st hour we could have pulled back, and then in the 5 hour moved back forward an hour, and we’d be right were we are now. And if she is holding off the invasion because of this, isn’t she giving in to terrorists anyway?
6) This guy killed hundreds of thousands of his people. He sees the U.S. as an enemy, and he has a device that could kill millions of Americans. And we are supposed to believe that he only starts killing, and only kills a few people when he does, after he can’t get us to move troops around?
In the real world, he would have immediately taken out everything he could, in order to force the U.S. to pull back the troops in order to defend our own country. It’s not like he thinks that he hasn’t really broken any laws yet and might get away with it — he has to know that, at some point in the future, the U.S IS going to destroy Sangali when he is ruler, unless he makes it impossible for the U.S. to do so.
7) Really good paralyzing agent, makes it impossible for him to blink, or form any sounds, or move an inch, makes him posable, but somehow doesn’t stop his heart or his lungs. Also, he seems to be able to move his eyes. But 5 minutes later, he has enough strength to overpower a trained SS agent?
And who built that apartment? They just leaned against the railing and it fell through? they designers had to assume that at some time 6 or more people would lean on that railing all at once.
I might be able to believe that he could strangle the SS agent, except that the SS agent never moved his hands to his neck to pull the first man’s hands off of him. Although I suppose you could explain that as the SS agent was paralyzed by the fall.
SOmeone earlier pointed out that the SS agent, after killing the girl, put his glove-covered hand into his pocket to answer his cell phone. Of course, it was absurd that there was no blood on those gloves. And that the girl didn’t carry her own keys around, but had to use her emergency key hidden under the door mat. Or that anybody is still stupid enough to hide keys under their door mats.
Or that anybody would actually have a door mat in the hall of a multi-story condominium — do people really do that?
OK, at least they didn’t have the cabinet staying behind to take a vote to declare the President incapacitated. Although they day is still young. I often wondered whether the President can fire cabinet members, or if they have to convince them to resign. If they COULD fire cabinet members, why not just fire everybody who is going to vote you out before they get to vote?
