Are you using the coconut oil as a conditioner by itself or adding a little to your regular conditioner?

Do you just rub it into your skin and doesn't it feel greasy?

I would imagine you could use the oil in smoothies, to make a salad dressing for a salad that uses fruits like apples, oranges, grapes and even a little flaked coconut, and some berries.

I could see some stir fries using a touch of coconut oil. Maybe a little oil in oatmeal with some cinnamon, or maybe blend some with your butter for on toast or on a muffin or bagel? Maybe cook up some chicken in it? Just trying to come up with some possibilities.

DAMN IT!

I turned to look at the TV and there was that *^*&#*$ Obama plate ad again. I can't even watch "Broken Trail" in peace.

Oh lord, San Francisco.
Bring on the flamboyant gays.

I was expecting the worst--especially today--but the SF auditions were surprisingly tame, I thought.

Yeah, make her go out in the snow and cold :)

Some gentleman you are! Hrmph.

{dramatically flouncing my skirt, crossing my arms, and turning my back}

I say good day to you, sir.

I said good day!

It begs the question- which is the correct rectum to sing with?

I saute with it, but haven’t really used it in a while. I’m making soaps now and am very fond of coconut oil and shea butter - very moisturizing (well, the shea is, the coconut not so much). I really like putting a dab of CO in hot chocolate and it is excellent in baking. If you mix it with butter you get the classic ‘theater flavor’ for popcorn.

I found a wonderful product for hair from The Body Shop - the poppyseed oil mask. ~amazing~

I used it like a deep conditioner- left it on overnight. It’s surprisingly not greasy. It goes on a little greasy, of course, but it soaks in really well. I don’t know if I would use it daily, because it might be too heavy. Someone with very coarse hair might use just a teeny bit as a hair dressing.

It solidifies below 77 degrees, so using it in smoothies makes it chunky. But I’m going to try cooking with it a little more. I’m not creative in the kitchen. LOL

Here’s a few sites with recipes. You’ll have look through to see which ones will work for you. Quite a few are cookie or cake recipes, but there are some for salad dressings and even a chicken recipe. Should be some potential here though.

Sorry, I didn’t answer about the skin. No, it doesn’t feel greasy. It’s really surprising. It rubs right in. I only use a little bit and the difference is really amazing. I’ve been rubbing it into my nails and cuticles, too, because I get splits down the sides in the winter. The difference is amazing.

I’m always willing to try out new beauty products of all kinds and I’m truly amazed at how in such a short time the difference I’ve seen using virgin coconut oil.

I can't help it. I love it when you swear and Angry Jonny comes out.

King of the Hill is on Cartoon Network and I've yet to see any O stuff.

I have really dry scalp this time of year, but am concerned it will leave the hair greasy. I had a Aunt that used mayo on her hair and she had greasy hair for the next 6 months and she would wash it twice a day. I learned from her mistake. I even tried to warn her, that I thought she was using, too much, but hey, what did I know? LOL

I have half a 2/3 a bottle of Jack Daniel’s and 1/2 a bottle of mint Bailey’s that should hold us ToL until the next commercial break.

:-D

There's some evidence of some 'man hands' there, but inconclusive...

The hips say "female".

The head says "Tony Robbins".

LOL!!

Okay, now you're speaking my language. LOL

I gave some to the cats. They love it! They both had very dry skin (my apt. is so dry that I swear I could make lightning from all the static) and it's helped a lot. Their coats are so shiny! I don't give it to them every day. Just a very little bit (1/8th of a teaspoon or less) once or twice a week.
