Steal Curtain CallJust when it seemed the Ravens had solved the Steelers' vaunted D, poof! Pittsburgh snagged another Super Bowl berth.

“What did they do that was racist?”
They never once hired a black punter.
;-)
I remember getting ready to go to church on 12/23/1972 and telling my wife "Can we just wait a few minuites, I just know the Steelers will pull it out".
My son is a Marine stationed at the MCRD in San Diego. Last week he invited me to a friends house to watch the San Diego/Steeler game. It was me against about 15 Charger fans. I loved it.
I live in L.A. but my mom was from Bethlehem PA. I have been a Steeler fan all my life.

Care to expand on this??
“until idiots like Chad Ocho Cinco try to bring it back in”
I must have missed that. What did Chad Johnson say?
Of course, the loser didn't score, so all was well.
That is a cool memory you have of the Immaculate Reception...I was ten, the game was blacked out (in Pittsburgh) and my dad (he’s gone now) whooped it up...he was listening on the radio to Myron on wtae radio. They kept showing the catch over and over later that night on tv.
I could care less about his smile.
Watch how everything thrown his way ends up being caught. This guy has the potential to trash most of Jerry Rice’s records and in many less games than Jerry did it in.
Shameful????? They lost their head coach and the Bus!!!! What did you expect?
00J
Go get them...:)
I grew up in Pgh
Went to Pitt
Still follow the Steelers from Calif. So does my son.
You never quit the Steelers.
Wait, I just found a pic of him dropping another pass in the dictionary under the phrase EFFING MORON!!
MZ, I am watching the post game on KDKA...Bob Smizak was just commenting on how well Tomlin has held the team together and overcome injury adverity. Tomlin, in his post game, quoted Robert Frost (along way to go before we sleep)...Smizak said, ‘does Cowher even know who Frost is?’. LOL...can’t see BC sitting in a lit class and remembering anything.
They didn’t lose their head coach, well at least Cowher was still getting pay checks. That’s really the problem. Cowher demonstrably was “satisfied” after the SB win and didn’t coach up to his previous levels. And remember, by the end the Bus was mostly there for emotions and 3rd down, he hadn’t been the focus of the run game for a while. I expected Cowher to keep coaching like a coach, I still respect him and I think he did a good job in his tenure, but he phoned in that year. The only reason I don’t think we’d have been better off if he’d retired with The Bus is I don’t know if we’d have gotten Tomlin.
Geez, that would have been a dumb stunt. Thanks for the info.
Talk about a jerk, that’s exactly how Edgerrin James comes off. Rothlisberger is class. He excels in both the physical and mental aspects. I do like Kurt Warner, but the Cardinals really aren’t that good. The Steelers should win this one easily.
Dream on buddy:
The Green Bay Packers have won more championships -- 12 -- than any other team in National Football League history. They won their first three by league standing (1929, 1930 and 1931), and nine since the NFL's playoff system was established in 1933 (1936, 1939, 1944, 1961, 1962, 1965, 1966, 1967 and 1996). Green Bay also is the only NFL team to win three straight titles, having done it twice (1929-30-31 and 1965-66-67). In addition, the Packers won the first two Super Bowls (over Kansas City in 1966, 35-10, and over Oakland in 1967, 33-14), as well as a more recent one (over New England in 1996, 35-21). Since the league implemented a playoff system in 1933, the Packers have played in the NFL's deciding game 12 times (10 NFL title appearances from 1936-67, two Super Bowls after the 1970 merger). Only the Giants (18) have played for more titles. Most World Championships: Green Bay Packers, 12 Chicago Bears, 9 New York Giants, 7 Dallas Cowboys, 5 Pittsburgh Steelers, 5 San Francisco 49ers, 5 Washington Redskins, 5 Cleveland Browns, 4 Detroit Lions, 4 Indianapolis/Baltimore Colts, 4
That’s the difference between all time and modern era. Modern era for the NFL is generally considered to be the same as Super Bowl era. Green Bay is only in the 3 club, which is impressive, but we’re gunning for 6.
I’m surprised they had Rod Woodson present the trophy. That guy left the Steelers for less money with the niners. Then he played for rival Baltimore for years. In fact, I think he retired as a Raven.
I have to go with my Steelers but I really like Arizona too!
