saw this elsewhere (not at freerepublic) so most of you have probably seen this:
Let's see...within a couple of months of her husband being sworn in as junior Senator of IL, she is promoted to a brand new VP position with a tripled salary (http://campaignspot.nationalreview.com/post/?q=OGRiMWFhNWY4MTgzMjI3NjEzNGQwMWFiMTlhYmRhN2Y=). Later, her husband requests a million dollar earmark for her employer, to which I'm sure another Dem. Senator pulled him aside and chuckled, "Easy there young fella, it's a little to obvious and too soon for this." Promptly, the earmark was removed from the final bill. Fast forward a couple years when her husband becomes POTUS and she leaves the job. Apparently, the job was so important the University will "fold" it into another dept., thus eliminating that high paid executive position.
I forwarded this to a number of liberal friends, sardonically blaming it on the bad economy...none of them ever replied back.

Oh, come on, now, how could they every fill the position once the wife of the messiah moved on? Besides, Obama’s healthcare plans will heal all illnesses soon, so they’ll be shutting the hospital down soon, anyway.

Maybe she thought it best to resign since the story of her patient dumping scheme is getting around a little.
All- this is a classic case of corruption and abuse of power that will resonate with average non-political people. BO is nothing new, there is no change, and he is no different than any other politician. Bring this story up at the watercooler at work, with friends at the gym, and with your liberal hippy in-laws the next time you have dinner.
The Obamites I know are scary/blind to any criticism. This ‘job’ is such a quid pro quo...but until the syncophants in the media (or Butt-Boys as Rush calls them) start actually reporting (as opposed to dreamily star-gazing) the great, unwashed masses won’t get ‘it.’ If you look at the cover of any rag that most American women (or womyn) read, well you wouldn’t know any of this...just that Mrs. Obama works out daily, has great ‘toned’ arms, and is bringing back the ‘sleeveless’ look ala Jackie Kennedy.

Her pay raise certainly was.
No, she was given a job for 115K when he became a congressman, it was increased to 325K the month he became a Senator. He put in for a 1 Million earmark that was removed before the bill was passed.
She went on to campaign for his presidency and the VP of Community Affairs job that she never attended was eliminated. Wonder what she was paid by the campaign?

Michelle’s job OBVIOUSLY was one of those made-up diversity appointments,the equivalent of a no-show (or should we say “no-need”) patronage job, and shares more than a few parallels with the Obama/Rezko land deal, right up to the $300,000 figure for both of them,for her salary and Obama’s “reduced-price” gratuity for the house/lot.
