Ghost Rider

On windy moor in teeming rain
I saw a vision clear and plain
I hushed my breath nor called, not I to
The Ghost Rider passing by.
From whence he came I do not know
On stoney ground covered in snow
Myself laid still, I shall not show to
To the Ghost Rider passing by
When all went quiet, still and sound
I raised myself up from the mound
Of horses hoof for they did pound of
The Ghost Rider passing by.
T'was eerie night, the day befell
When all went dark yet, not was well
I undercover in a thickened dell
When the Ghost Rider passed me by.
I went and followed footfalls light
Became of what? this visions plight
To ride alone one must be brave
On dawn return toward the grave
Of the Ghost Rider who passed by.

Sweet opening post, Billie. I have not missed a one of them, I don't think, even though I haven't been able to post, I still check in most everyday and your graphics always make me smile.

Hey, Amy, look who's here! Surprise, surprise! LOL. I thought I had better reintroduce myself since I am going to be subbing for you in September. ;-)

Beauty Of A Summer's Day

The beauty of a Summer's day begins
Watching the bright, morning sun rise,
Dew upon the lawn and roses,
And the early flight of colorful butterflies.

The beauty of a Summer's day
Is an attractive and picturesque one,
A sky of a variable color of pale to light blue,
And sport and entertainment for everyone.

The beauty of a Summer's day
Is stetched with green foliage on the hill,
And colorful wildflowers bordering the roadway,
The water wheel turning at the grist mill.

The beauty of a Summer's day increases
Watching the rolling waves of the ocean,
Sea shells washing upon the sandy shore,
And gazing at the sea gulls gliding in slow motion.

The finality of a Summer's day
Is depicted with memorable scenes
Of picnicking, camping, swimming, and traveling,
Reserved for Summer enthusiasts for future dreams.

I need a maid!!!
We have been having ant problems all summer.
They seem to be coming in for water and cat food.
We find them in the sinks (both kitchen and bathroom) and in the dry cat food.
I'm tired of them!

Have fun cleaning.

Good Monday Morning Amy!
Actually I am trying to figure out how to get your Minnie Graphic into a “ Genie Bottle” and then out into my living room... I will then stay right here and Minnie can clean for me!

Amy, Here is a link with some hints on how to get rid of house ants.

http://www.getridofthings.com/get-rid-of-ants.htm

There are many other links available, too.

I got rid of my house ants by putting a saucer of sugar water on the counter at night, and by morning, there were hundreds of dead ants in the saucer. (YAY!!!)

I’m having problems with bol weevils. I know.......they come in the cracks of boxes from the grocery store - and multiply like snot on a petri dish.

I guess I’m going to have to throw out everything in my pantry, and start all over. AAAAAAAAAaaaaaaaaaaargh!!!

I told JC once; “Nothing is allowed to take up residence in my house unless it walks upright on two legs (except dogs).”

P.S. I love that placque!

LJ, I have one of those. It does a pretty fair job - but it scares the dogs BIG TIME - especially when they think it is after THEM! LOL!

I would tell you what my husband said one time after we had gotten over our last dog’s death but it would be R rated and it was really rather cute, not vulgar!

If you wanna know what I’m doing back, I am waiting for lunch to get warm......

My cats just watch it, unlike the regular vac which freaks them out.
