CNN's Ed Henry Suggests Michelle Obama's "Hope and Change" Theme "Just Did Not Work with IOC"

Here is video of CNN's Ed Henry today reporting from Copenhagen that it may be that First Lady Michelle Obama's "Hope and Change" theme just did not work with the Internaitonal Olympic Committee.

Michelle Obama's remarks to the committee were "highly personal," focusing on her late father and what it would mean to her for the Olympics to come to her "hometown" of Chicago.

Henry said it may be the committee was looking for more "nuts and bolts" information about why Chicago would be the best choice. Michelle Obama even used the words "hope and change" in her remarks, and when introducing her husband to speak. Read more...

Hey Ed, a little to patronizing. By the way your network said it was such a good speech before the vote and it looked like things were locked up. Bwahahahahaha.

It was a pathetic sales pitch. Nothing about what Chicago would do for the Olympics but what Olympics would mean to her and Chicago.

Michelle also lied the whole time in her Olympics pitch. Big surprise, huh? She refers at one point to the time that she watched, from her father’s lap as Carl Lewis broke all of the records. Carl Lewis is only 3 years older than Michelle Obama, and his career took off around 1981. I assume that she was referring to the 1984 Olympics. This would have made Michelle a twenty-year-old college student, sitting in her father’s lap and dreaming of becoming an Olympic athlete. Late start, huh? Next, we’ll hear about how her helicopter was fired upon during the ‘88 Olympics, and she was forced to make an emergency landing while under intense sniper fire.

It only seems that the MSM and majority of American voters fell for the “Hope and Change” nonsense. It seems that the Europeans did learn their lesson from the demigod, Hitler.

Exactly what I was wondering, too: Why were they asking the IOC as if they were asking for a personal favor? Is that what other countries do? I expected them to play up the city and how it might handle the Olympics, not talk about how much it would mean to them personally.

They were looking for more “nuts and bolts”, but instead they just got a couple of nuts, Barkie and Shelly.

Did you hear Rush play the segment from CNN when they found out Chicago was out? It was hilarious! The newscaster couldn't believe it.

Their so called pro-bono lawyers were not pro-bono as they were looking to cash in the deal in the future.

Hope and Change can stuff it, n’ough said.

Yeah, screw her country -- she's not proud of America, dontchaknow. Screw her city even -- it's personal. It's all about her.

Her real given name may be "Michelle"... but her nickname oughtta be "Me Me".

Yeah, still as has always been, the Obama’s cannot represent America. It is not in them. They do not have the heart or mind for ALL of America....their ‘hometown’ versus the United States of America, their friend Bill Ayers, Loius Farakhan, , Valerie Jarrett, Nancy Pelosi, Oprah, sure.....but not all of America.

Millions of fools voted for Obama based on his “hope” and “change” rhetoric without knowing, or questioning, exactly what he meant by these two words. Did he mean, he hoped he could change the U.S. into socialist republic? Apparently, that’s what he did mean.

I saw the video of Michelle’s speech. It was an absolute embarrassment. And the “I” word was mentioned almost 50 times.

Wanna talk about I
Wanna talk about number one

What I think, what I like, what I know, what I want, what I see
I like talking about you you you you, usually, but occasionally
I wanna talk about meeeeee (me,me,me,me-background singers)

I guess the IOC still believes the Obamas’ two years of public comments that the US is bad, bad, bad.
