Most of those folks are on the Undead Thread.
Hi!
Been wandering around, going through the process of becoming a corrections officer.
Did you see him throw [any item]?
Limp!
My singing has been described as a horrific fusion between a scalded cat and a drunken bullfrog.

Lol! Beautiful job, Lady J!
You’re a woman of many talents! ;)
Six of that list have swung through at one time or another that I am aware of.
alrighty but ... I thought we were trying to reconstruct our original ping list.
...
I gotta go, storms closing in
The same can be said for Lame.
He could use a few whippings, too. :)
Our original pinglist.. Would include Palo Verde, Kathleen11, and many many others who don’t wander around these paths ..
Habs4ever.. etc etc.
If you try to whip a shark, you merely end up splashing the water while he swims below it.
Didn't know you were in the police force?
I'm thinking of starting up a second career as somethiong I've always wanted to do since I was in High School.
That is go into Acting.
Not an officer of the peace yet, gotta go through the academy first.
Then get assigned to a facility after the one year probationary period.
Then...?
Currently I’m just a lowly security guard.
WTG! I wish you much success!
Feel free to ignore this ping at will, it’s just a nostalgia ping to teh crew of the former Dregs and Flakes Dimensional Doors threads which as you know merged with teh Freeples thread to become what we have now.
Some of us have moved on, others have passed on [R.I.P. westmex], and others have wandered off.
Our once rollicking thread now sits quiet in slumber, often for days.
Again, just a ping, a nod, and a hat tip to what once was.
Gonna need all the luck I can get, thanks!

End the drilling moratorium
By Rolfe McCollister, Tuesday, June 15, 2010Is the cure worse than the disease? Well, that is what some are asking about the deepwater drilling moratorium ordered by the president and his secretary of the interior. The oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico has shut down fishing and shrimping in Louisiana, creating an environmental and economic disasterand now the moratorium threatens to put those in the oil and gas business out of work, too.
In a letter last week, experts brought in to advise Interior Secretary Ken Salazar said, A blanket moratorium is not the answer. It will not measurably reduce risk further and it will have a lasting impact on the nations economy which may be greater than that of the oil spill. We do not believe punishing the innocent is the right thing to do.
On June 2, Gov. Bobby Jindal sent a letter to President Barack Obama saying, I fully understand the need for strict oversight of deepwater drilling. However, I would ask that the federal government move quickly to ensure that all deepwater drilling is in proper compliance with federal regulation and is conducted safely so that energy production and more importantly, thousands of jobs, are not in limbo.
Currently, the gulf is home to 33% of the worlds deepwater rigs. Already, one firm has announced the suspension of drilling three wells and will move its rig. The job losses for an extended moratorium would be immense.
Another issue that has taken center stage due to this crisis is the long-term solution to protecting our coast and marshlands. Right now, the oil is a federal resource, but Louisiana and other Gulf Coast states bear 100% of the risk. Its not fair. Sen. Mary Landrieu has introduced legislation, the RESPOND Act, whereby funds from new leases off Louisianas coast would be shared immediately, as opposed to 2017, per the current law. I think the nation is now aware of our fragile coastline and marshes and pray citizens and officials in every state will support this legislation.

Saints receive championship rings
Jun 17, 2010NEW ORLEANS (AP) - The New Orleans Saints aren't done celebrating last season's Super Bowl title quite yet.
Team members gathered at a downtown New Orleans hotel Wednesday night to get their championship rings.
snip
The ring features a fleur-de-lis, musical notes and several New Orleans landmarks, including the Louisiana Superdome and the triple-spired St. Louis Cathedral.
Quarterback Drew Brees calls the ring's design "perfect"
.
How 'bout dat! (yes, I know, they are gaudy, but so are all Super Bowl rings)
So you speak from experience?
Have you tried trolling for lamesharks with a stick of dynamite? I’m sure he’ll bite it....twice! :)
Burger Queen!
How goes it in the Kingdom of Burgers? :)
It got pretty crowded for one minute, we actually saw two other boats pass by at the same time(it's a biiig lake).
The most amazing thing happened when we stopped near a bluff on the western shore, and while we were sunning ourselves, two deer swam by.
Bucks. With racks! No nully, not THAT kind of rack!
They were swimming out, almost a mile out, and looked pretty confused and freaked. Another boat had seen them first and decided to turn them towards shore, and we both herded them all the way back. They were exhausted when they walked out onto the shore.
Dang, I can't believe we didn't have a camera.
I'm a wee bit jealous of your pleasant weather. We're still in the midst of an unusually early heat wave and would enjoy a few weeks of cooler weather. A trip to the nearby beaches seems a bit futile at this point. :( I'm thinking of heading to the hills around NC or upper east TN where I know the weather is nicer at this time of the year.
Come visit, you'll be stunned.
Yeah, it was a shocker seeing them. At first Linda kept saying there was some kind of wounded fish, then I took the binocs out and saw the antlers. They were going pretty fast considering they were dog deer paddling.
The weirdest part was some dog came down as they were getting near shore, and they wouldn't come out with it barking. They were stuck between boat motors and a barking dog.
They finally decided they were too tired NOT to get out, thank goodness. They booked fast into the woods. I think they're gonna sleep well tonight.......
Those weren’t deer, those were two giant beavers!
I tied racks to their heads to confuse you. Looked like you fell for it. Punk’d! :P
Certain words have been declared verboten............
I might have been fooled by other kinds of racks though......
:-)
No beaves allowed?
Where will I go??
What will I do?? :P
I've been thinking of going to Kiawah Island for a couple of weeks but the heat is beginning to make a trip to the mountains with cooler, non-humid nights sound mighty appealing.
:)
I always knew you’d go through a lot of effort just to save a couple bucks...
The shark is impervious to splodinations.
