Hagel is bad news. Anyone connected to Shakir al Khafagi is not a good thing for this country; he is known for being Saddam Hussein's conduit to UNSCOM inspector Scott Ritter. And the trail leads, no suprise, to Mr. Joe Wilson of Niger and Plame leak fame again.

SEPTEMBER 2002 : (HAGEL GOES ON TRIP TO IRAQ SPONSORED BY OIL FOR FOOD BANDIT AL KHAFAGI {see DETROIT CELL}) Shakir Al-Khafaji (12 million barrels), a well-connected Detroit-area businessman who led a delegation of anti-war Congressional Democrats to Baghdad in September 2002 and who funded an anti-sanctions documentary produced by former weapons inspector Scott Ritter. The Oil for Food scandal has obvious implications for the policy he's been advocating of subjecting U.S. interests to a Security Council veto. GOP Senator Chuck Hagel is another U.N. booster. If they mean what they say about enhancing the power of the U.N., in Iraq and elsewhere, then they in particular have an obligation to ensure that the world body is both effective and free of corruption. ----- "Oil for Scandal : Where's Jesse Helms when the U.N. really needs him?," WSJ Opinion journal, Thursday, March 18, 2004 12:01 a.m. EST

(ISRAEL CAPTURES THE KARINNA A --- SEE HAGEL) There's something very odd about Chuck Hagel. He's been among a very small minority of Senators to vote against resolutions in support of Israel; and when the Israelis captured that Iranian vessel, the Karinna A., with arms destined for the Palestinians, he said immediately that we shouldn't believe the Israelis, that they were just trying to stir things up against Iran.--------72 posted on 01/11/2007 5:54:11 PM PST by BusterBear | To 6

Every venture that Hagel is involved with has an Aburdene on the board or in some other position. Chuck Hagel is bought and paid for by the Islamists. Scary thought. Oh, I also read of a Miller/Plame/Ritter tie.84 posted on 07/14/2005 9:18:25 PM PDT by Eva | To 81 |

Elias Aburdene is one of Hagel's donors. From another source: 4) According to the Center for Contempory Arab Studies, a member of their Board is the President of Rock Creek Corporation --Mr Elias Aburdene . see http://www.ccasonline.org/events/Board.htm ...As of May 2003, Joseph Wilson's email address was joewilson@rockcreekcorp.com (See the May 2003 symposium on Africa at www.sahel-club.org/doc/conflict_sem0305_en.doc )-- And we know ol' Joe Wilson, former ambassador to oily, glow-in-the-dark Gabon already, for he is the dude who's been trying to take down Cheney and the god whom all libs fear, The Almighty Turdblossom- I mean Rove.. 41 posted on 11/10/2005 8:37:23 PM PST by piasa | To 24

.* Elias Aburdene : ...but also the Rock Creek Corporation, an investment company controlled by Al Amoudi and chaired since 1997 by a Lebanese businessman very connected into the power circles of Washington, Elias Aburdene. Former adviser of the Franklin Bank National in Washington DC, Aburdene at the start of his accession to the head (position) of Rock Creek Corporation hired the ex - adviser to Bill Clinton for African affairs, Joseph Wilson IV. The latter had already met Mohamed Al Amoudi in 1997 at the time of a reception organized for the World Bank by Westar Group (LAW n.794). --- via Shermy

* Elias Aburdene & Joe Wilson : While Wilson was pursuing his foreign investment ventures, he also served as a foreign policy advisor to the 2000 Presidential campaign of Al Gore. A company the Gore family had a long-term relationship with, Occidental Petroleum, shared business interests with Alamoudi-affiliated companies in Africa and the Middle East, and employed as Vice President for Middle East business Odeh Aburdene,24 who shared a complex network of relationships with Rock Creek’s Elias Aburdene and Joseph Wilson--notably, all three contributed to Arab-American Congressional Caucus leader Nick Rahall,25 who supported Muslim lobbying groups linked to terrorists and opposed military action in Iraq.26 Abdurahman Alamoudi also contributed to Rahall, and sat on the steering committee of Arab Americans for Clinton/Gore '96 along with his associate James Zogby, who later advised Gore’s 2000 Presidential campaign.27 Wilson had worked as an aide to Gore from 1985 to 1986 and had developed a friendly relationship with him. Wilson says Gore was the first person outside the State Department to contact him expressing support when he was caught in Iraq in the middle of the diplomatic crisis leading up to the Gulf War.------ "What Wilson Didn’t Say About Africa: Joseph Wilson's Silent Partners ," via 112 posted on 04/24/2006 2:25:40 PM PDT by Fedora | To 111
