Sarah Palin is doing that right now with her Facebook essays, and Op-Ed pieces in major publications, including the WSJ.
This guy claimed multiple times last fall on FR to be serving with the 4/2 Stryker BCT and that he was being deployed to Iraq, when in fact the 4/2 returned to the US from Iraq in Dec of 2008. He even claimed last spring to be posting from Iraq when the 4/2 was already back at Ft. Lewis for several months. Something funny about his story.

In the past year he’s written that Reagan was not a true conservative and harmed the country. He also wrote after the election that he thinks we should give obama a chance.

I agree with you bud. I like both , neither has a chance of winning. I think we may have one last shot in saving the country in 2012 but there really needs to be an almost historical figure to pull it off though . I love how if you don’t think Palin can with the presidency you are tagged as a plant from KOS or some sort of troll.

Palin was a person restrained by the restrictions desired by the top of the ticket. John McCain is a political bi-polar schizphrenic. None of his positions meld into a cohesive political philosophy. Ms Palin’s job was to support the top of the ticket’s positions, which in turn made her look stupid. Now it is time for her to tell that story, and defend her own political philosophy and beliefs.
Nevertheless, the Romney-bots will exhaust themselves write to us about their own delusional world, where Mitt stands for anything and everyone else is just dumb.
Nothing and no one on the political radar says Country Club Blue Blood Republican like Mitt Romney. And there is no way in Hell that he could win national election. It would be a spectacle of Romney trying to show he’s not a filthy rich guy in the pockets of Wall Street. The problem is that he is in fact filthy rich, and probably in the pockets of someone on Wall Street.
No amount of time, advertising, or FR posting is going to turn Mitt Romney from a political chameleon into a bedrock of conservatism. He would do much better just to admit his obsession with high office.
He would be the unity VP pick, kind of like the milquetoast HW Bush was for Reagan. The wonderful aspect of Palin’s Presidency is that she is young enough that we will be able to enjoy her interjections in the political scene for 25 or 30 years after she leaves office. The greatest shame of the post Reagan era was that he was “into the shadows” of Alzheimers so soon after leaving office. Sarah Palin will be roiling liberals much the way that Jimmah Catah has roiled us all over these many years.

I have never claimed to be with a Stryker Brigade, you LIAR! I serve with E Co., 1-67 AR, 2 BCT, 4’th ID out of Fort Carson, Colorado. I returned from Iraq, with that unit, in August of 2009. Before leaving for Iraq, I was with 2STB (Special Troops Battalion), 2-4 ID. So take your lies and slander somewhere else. All I did in this thread was ask a freakin’ question on who has a viable chance without selling us out and I’ve been attacked repeatedly. But to attack my service goes too far.
