“The battle is joined. We now have a list of 220 who are targets in 2010.”

WTF good is an election going to do? You think that even of Republicans had a veto proof majority a year from now they would repeal it? Hell no. No entitlement has ever been repealed.

I think violent protests would be more effective.

Man, I am really p1ssed.
I don’t care if it has a chance in the Senate or not.
Those scum, for all intents and purposes, have declared war on a large segment of the population. (actually, they did that a long time ago) Thay want a fight, they are damn sure going to get one.

As long as I draw a breath I will not be a Socialist.

The last time I looked this is still Texas where I live.

They can stick it where the sun does not shine.

Come here and see how it is accepted.

nancy pelosi lost 39 or 40 out of her caucus.

fine, pass it. now, they are officially going to get pasted in the midterms. and that will be before any of this facist abomination takes effect, so it should be possible to reverse it.

so, in effect, what we witnessed tonight is political suicide.

Obama referred to Tea- Party protesters as “extremists” behind closed doors.

He’ll be sure and give a shout out to Nancy Pelosi during or before his remarks to the soldiers when he visits Ft. Hood.

>Next up...
>Disarmament of the Military...

Given Ft Hood, I wouldn’t be surprised if that were so.

>>Amnesty/instant citizenship for aliens

Methinks they’d need Gun Control slapped down HARD before that.

>Gun Control (new draconian AWB, HR 45, ammo accountability)

...speak of the devil. They NEED this before amnesty; IMO it would be akin to a direct declaration of war [on the current citizenry] for the Congress to pass amnesty; I certainly can’t see it ending WITHOUT bloodshed.

>Will be introduced by Christmas.

If so, I can’t see a 2010 election going well... for ANYBODY. I believe those in-power would resist any sort of wholesale cleansing.

First of all, the bill has not passed the senate yet. We really do not know what will be in the final bill. You don't have to repeal it, just not fund it. The House holds the purse strings. Much of the proposed plan does not go into effect until 2013.

If we can get more Reps in Congress, we can block the Obama agenda. We won't have a veto proof majority, but we can throw a monkey wrench into the Dems' plans.

There will be a health care bill regardless. The Dems need one to save face with their base. The only issue is what will be in it. The Senate will have a major say.

Elections are important. They have consequences as we are seeing now.

I've always said the blue dogs are phonies. Ann Coulter mentioned it too in one of her articles.

I have been thinking about what the Democrats did tonight. I have never been so mad in all my life for them passing this but I am actually glad they did they passed this. Let me explain. The American electorate has been in a drunken stupor for so long. We have what we have in office because nobody is feeling any discomfort.

After the American people see what was passed and what it will do for their quality of life, it will finally get people to act because they will see their quality of life plummet. The Democrats have no idea what hit them last Tuesday and they will have no idea what will hit them in November of 2010. This is their attack on Pearl Harbor and you know what happened to Japan after this act.

They are so arrogant and blind that they think this is a victory for the left and their power. This vote was the beginning of the end for the left and the Democrats. We need to continue to pray, fight and act. We will prevail. We will takeover again this gov’t “for and by the people.”

CNN Uses Pro-Communist American to Tout Cuban Health Care
NewsBusters.org ^ | August 8, 2009 | Rich Noyes

Gail Reed

There’s something deeply wrong with journalism that scrutinizes and criticizes the institutions of free and successful nations, but produces puff pieces on the supposed achievements of totalitarian dictatorships. On Thursday, CNN aired a piece of Communist Party propaganda about how Cuba could serve as “a model for health care reform” in the United States, complete with an authoritative sound bite from an American medical expert, identified only as someone “who’s lived and worked in Cuba for decades.”

But the expert, Gail Reed, is a longtime admirer of the Cuban revolution, married to the Cuban official who served as ambassador to Grenada in the early 1980s when U.S. troops liberated the island from hardline communists who had executed the leftist Prime Minister Maurice Bishop. She's also worked at Granma, Cuba’s official communist party newspaper.

[snip]

As for Reed, she was profiled in the Miami Herald back in 1983 after she and her husband returned to Cuba after American forces liberated Grenada. She talked about the fear she felt at seeing U.S. Marines surrounding the Cuban embassy, and told the newspaper, “I feel I have a very strong identification with the Cuban revolution.”

“When I first came to Cuba in the ’70s, I was very impressed with their efforts in building a new kind of society,” Reed explained.
