Well more proof that you don't read the posts you respond to...

Your question was plainly and clearly answered. even you could have figured it out.

It wasn't haughty, just stupid on your part.

Actually, you didn’t answer the question. Besides, the Church of Rome does not require adherence to the literal truth of the bible.

Are Catholics Christian? No bifurcation allowed.

Evasion such as yours can be a defense to mask stupidity, you know.

Is it in your case?

Wow, density such as yours has to be on purpose or by design, otherwise you really are a balthering fool.

ONE MORE TIME, in case the latter is the situation you are in.

I SAID:

To which Catholics are you referring? Are you referring to the ones who follow the teachings and dogma of the blessed and Holy Faith of Rome that holds the Bible as the true and correct word of God?

I am quite sure the former are some of the best examples of the Christian faith out there....

So the obvious and clear answer is YES, CATHOLICS, at least those practicing their faith in accordance with the dictates of the Church ARE CHRISTIAN and very much so.

As far as the rest, I would suggest a return to Catechism class, perhaps with a Priest from Rome this time.

Whilst there are some allegorical elements, the truth of the Bible is very much a part of the Catholic faith, and the idea that it is not is a charge made against them by less knowledgeable outsiders all too often.

(of course you will not read this post, or ignore it's contents all together and blather on with more mindless drivel and contradiction, but I am glad I got a chance to answer for the serious among us.)

I know that it can be tough to shake stoopid, but please try. My admonition to you was as follows: NO BIFURCATION.

Perhaps you don’t know what that means.

I’m not asking you to divide the universe of Catholics into two subsets, and then proclaim the Christianity of only one. No, Forrest (I usually reserve that name for another poster but it fits you, too), I am asking you to give a thumbs up or thumbs down to Catholics in general.

Why do so many “Christians” here have such a problem with this?

Yawn...

Kid ya got your answer, and since I am out of crayons to draw out the word “yes” on a poster board I can’t get it any simplier, so be happy.

I can’t answer your question unless I know what you mean by *Catholic* and what you mean by *Christian*.

It’s intellectually dishonest to demand an answer to a question and expect me to provide the definitions of the words you are using. If you want a clear, precise answer, you must be clear and precise about the meanings of the terms you are using.

Since you are asking the question, it is up to you to provide the definitions.

Why, are you concerned?

Did I strike a nerve?

Seek you own reason why you maybe running in contradiction to God's dictates if that is what you fear you are doing and it actaully concerns you.

Figure out, if you are indeed Catholic, if your need for intellectual recognition and self congratulation is truly compatible with your faith.

Determine if your rationalizing is trying to in act whatever adjustments you need to make you feel right.

Only God knows your heart, and since you profess you are Christian and may well be either in practice or by intent I can't and wont judge you in that capacity.

But all his people can see your actions and words.

Do they serve him and by extension your immortal future, or do they betray them both?

Catholics in general? You mean the gambit from Mother Theresa to a hit man?

You categorize them all together and expect us to say that the hit man is a Christian in direct violation of the command to not murder because of the simple fact of having been baptized into the Catholic Church, the same as Mother Theresa was?

And you don’t recognize the disparity?

Density of that degree has to be on purpose.

That’s not an answer to the questions I asked, so I’ll repost them again....

BW: Are Catholics Christian? Yes or no.

mm: What’s it to you?

Why is that such an issue for you that you have to harp on it?

Why are you trying to cause such contention between denominations?

The only reasonable conclusion that someone can come to about your constant questioning of it when its not relevant to the discussion is that you are trying to cause sectarian division. Why are you doing that?

And I say that as a Christian.

Because I don’t want to, obviously.

I'm just wondering why someome would come on a thread, make allusions to others BAD BEHAVIOR, and then not want to defend their judgement call.

Yes, it IS obvious that you do not want to.

So do not complain when others will not play your game; and do not expect others to answer any of YOUR questions.

You didn’t answer the question. I didn’t cause you to fail in that endeavor.

Why didn’t you? A tad dishonest, perhaps? It is hard to be evasive if you put your cards on the table.

So evade. It amuses me.

It's by design.

Like you said so correctly, Buckie is a pot stirrer, little more.

He is fun though. I can't help myself but to reply, because often his inane post do more to make my point or support our side than anything I can do.

Ironic really, his self adulation and obstinacy serves his opponents...

Anyways, have to cruise to the farm for dinner 2 hour trip and will be spotty the next day or two on FR.

Have fun and save me a piece or two.

Oh, guess I should ping Buckie, I did say his name...

LOL...

Gambit or gamut? I’m beginning to seriously question your preparation for a discussion at this level.

But keep going—I’m amused.

Nope. You asked the question about whether Catholics are Christians and I can’t answer unless I know exactly what you mean by those terms.

It’s up to you to define them. How can you even meaningfully ask the question when you don’t even know what you’re asking?

If you don’t know, I certainly don’t and am not going to play the game of guessing what you mean and have you reject each definition.
