The home of a Muslim scholar who in the past has lectured at the Falls Church mosque, Ali Timimi, was searched as part of the investigation, according to court records, but he is not charged in the indictment. Royer said the men were following the advice of Timimi, who told them at a dinner in the days after Sept. 11 that Muslims in the United States were in danger.
