Urban Meyer leaving Florida according to ESPN
So the hospitalization and dehydration after his last game was more than reported. Prayers up.
I don’t know why this is a big deal.
The story on ESPN.com came at 56 minutes passed the hour
I posted at 57 minutes passed the hour.
Assuming it took me one minute to post (it did), the story wasn’t there when I immediately came to FR to post.
I frequent ESPN.com more than any other site and know how to find things there.
A Mormon named Urban. Think that through again there Chief.
He is three years and a day younger than I am. A 45 year old is young and I hope his health concerns are resolved.
Could the health reasons be related to trying to replace Tim Teebo?
Health reasons is what espn.com is saying....bet he’s healthy enough to coach in the NFL though....I’ve always said that went Tebow goes, so does he.....cynical, huh?
I’m sorry to hear this. Obviously you are a Gator fan.
I remember the shock and disbelief when Tom Osborne stepped down as the coach of my beloved Huskers. This after winning two national championships in three years (and then winning a third in his final game). I was stunned when this was announced 12 years ago and I still can’t quite beleive it happened.
My heart goes out to you and all Gator fans. Coach Myer is a class act, a real leader of young men and in my opinion the best coach in the college game at this point. I hope your team does not experience the same turmoil as mine has, especially since 2001. It has been a real rough time until the last couple of years. Let’s hope he can close out with a victory.
My daughter graduated the year they went undefeated and we have been huge fans for a while now.
No worries, he’s being replaced by his brother, Rural Meyer.
Urban Meyer is Roman Catholic. Did someone say that he was Mormon?
My prayers to Coach Urban Meyer and his family, and I hope that he has a swift and complete recovery. I am a Crimson Tide fan, but I hate to hear that Coach Meyer is ill.
I’m an Ole Miss fan, but I really respect him and Tebow.
I heard Keith Urban...the country coach.
He looked out onto the field in the recent SEC championship game and saw the future.
This is really odd, especially if there are no health concerns that weren’t known about in the past. He’d talked about Florida for the long term, even saying that’s where his son would go to college.
It still might be his.
See my post above, Meyer did have previous health issues , give it rest Bammer goober
Come on man, thats just an urban legend.
That hospital stay may have changed his priorities in life. Let’s hope this isn’t a play for a NFL job.....
