It would be rather ignorant of us if we just pretended this scenario was incorrect. If Fulke Greville was discovered to be of more importance then his works should be recognised more on the worldwide stage and taught throuout the system not just at Oxford and Cambridge.

Oh pleeeazzee.... everyone knows the conspiricy theorist's favorite choice for William Shakespeare was Sir Francis Bacon. Do we really need to add any more candidates to the list.

Frankly, I find it amusing that so many people think you can take a historical figure who had a well documented life and career and say that his life's work was another man's.

This is incredibly silly. There is ample evidence of William Shakespeare's life, travels, writing, production of plays, acting and death. This conspiricy nonsense is no different than a future generation coming up with a theory that Bob Dylan's songs were actually written by J Paul Getty.

Crypto, I notice you post some interesting threads but you put in a sentence or two of data without links. Best to put up a good story with links and then comment about it in your post. But good information, and thanks.

You put up a good thread about this subject in September, and I’ve bookmarked that one too. An interesting subject, and thanks for bringing it to our notice. The Shakespearen argument is one of the endearing alternate-theory topics, and is always good for a read.

for some strange reason i find this subject fascinating.
I have read 30 shakesepere biographies. fiften pro stratford and 15 anti.
I am a total agnostic on this issue.
either the guy from stratford wrote the plays or he didn’t. It is a scientific question. One day there will be no controversy.
I am looking forward to that day.
