I noticed that Senator Baucus office issued the following vigorous defense: It’s impossible to tell whether or not the Senator is drunk by observing his behavior and speech.
Foster Brooks—still funny after 35 years.
Max Baucus—never funny.
And that reeks with satire!

I remember Foster Brooks told a story of how the pilot on a flight he was on got him to do the "from the cockpit" announcement to the passengers. That must have been a riot!
Then again, those were the days when America could take a joke, Politically Incorrect or otherwise.
Actually, one of those passengers was my boss at the time.
