For a creature said to be man’s best friend, the dog doesn’t get a whole lot of respect in the English language. Something that has "gone to the dogs," for example, has gone to ruin, and the Britishism "dog’s breakfast" means a confused mess of something. The word "canaille," which debuted in English in the 17th century, shows that we have no qualms about associating dogs with the lower levels of human society; it derives via French from Italian "canaglia," and ultimately from "canis," the Latin word for "dog." "Canis," of course, is also the source of "canine," meaning "of or relating to dogs or to the family to which they belong."

Well it is official - I'm a hoochie mamma! Last night on a Bowl game thread here, a lunatic newbie came on chewing us out for having the diversion of a football game or two - we couldn't possibly be patriots if we are focusing on anything other than the overthrow of our government by the left..... she somehow decided I rip my shirt off for all of my husbands friends and spread my ... well she felt I could fill in the blanks on that one.

I had no idea College football brought out the slut in me... so now we all know.

The lies being spread are pathetic - the "shed" the james family claims their son was put into is an equipment garage with an ice machine - out of the weather, not made to practice and had constant supervision by three trainers.... two days later he is still saying he can't practice so he is put into the "electrical room" - which turns out to be the same room used to interview the coach after a game by the media - hardly some dark closet.

A doctor examined him and said it was not detrimental - no harm done to the little pansy - his daddy was angry because he wasn't being released to go to SMU, where Craig played on the team that caused the downfall of the SMU team for years.
