In order that we might all raise the level of discourse and expand our language abilities, here is the daily post of word for the day. Rules: Everyone must leave a post using the word of the day; in a sentence. The sentence must, in some way, relate to the news of the day. Practice makes perfect.....post on....

Good Morning Class. Welcome to School! Thank Goodness It's Finally FRIDAY!
Class is now in session. The rules are simple, you get a grade if you use the WFTD in a sentence, haiku, limerick, or quatrain. You get a "+" if you make a link, or make the teacher laugh, or you offer the appropriate bribes. I hold the grade book, and the whip and chair.
There once was a thread about Kobe
That kept making me go, Oh Gee!
It caused potation
My head a' Achin'
So far from there is where I'll be!
If any of you miscreants pull me into a Kobe thread today, it will be quadruple F minuses, and a year's detention for you. And you won't be picked for dodge ball either!!!

While i will not get falling down drunk like GRIMMY, i will probably enjoy a potation for my bday this weekend. i guess it was too much for me to expect the teacher to remember that the pet has a bday this weekend.... sniff.... : (

The teach remembers nothing if she is not reminded of it in advance.
When is your birthday?
To: RikaStrom
You betcha. It was time to change the tag. I love my NBA team but all the talk about basketball players and their problems is making me look forward to football.
To: RikaStrom
I think it's Sunday, IIRC.
To: secret garden
(glares at SG)
I don't want to hear about basketball players and their problems today!!!
;-)
To: RikaStrom
well i suppose i could do the same thing with you, that i would do with xshub in this instance...if i have to tell you, then it doesn't really matter then, does it? i mean, if i have to ASK you to wish me a happy birthday, how sincere is that? if i have to TELL you what i want for my birthday, then you really haven't put any thought into it, have you?....but i won't do that to you. : )
it's sunday.

WWBBD?
What would Brian Boitano do
If he was here right now,
He'd make a plan
And he'd follow through,
That's what Brian Boitano'd do.
When Brian Boitano was in the olympics,
Skating for the gold,
He did two sow cows and a triple lutz,
While wearing a blind fold.
When Brian Boitano was in the alps,
Fighting grizzly bears,
He used his magical fire breath,
And saved the maidens fair.
So what would Brian Boitano do
If he were here today,
I'm sure he'd kick an a$$ or two,
That's what Brian Boitano'd do.
I want this V-chip out of me,
It has stunted my vo-ca-bu-lar-y.
And I just want my mom
To stop fighting everyone
For Wendy I'll be an activist, too,
Cos that's what Brian Boitano would do.
And what would Brian Boitano do,
He'd call all the kids in town,
And tell them to unite for true
That's what Brian Boitano would do.
When Brian Boitano travelled through time
To the year 3010,
He fought the evil robot kings
and saved the human race again
And when Brian Boitano built the pyramids,
He beat up Kubela Kong.
Cos Brian Boitano doesn't take shit from an-e-y-body
So lets all get together,
And unite to stop our mom's
And we'll save Terrance and Phillip too,
Cos that's what Brian Boitano do.
And we'll save Terrance and Phillip too,
Cos that's what Brian Boitano dooooo,
That's what Brian Boitano do.

To: xsmommy
if i have to TELL you what i want for my birthday, then you really haven't put any thought into it, have you?. You should realise in all fairness to xshub, that after the first 60, one starts to run out of thoughts no matter how much effort one puts in....
