Oooo .... a sweet little ChowChow. I love Chows.

We had one that was the sweetest little girl. She loved all kids and was in heaven when kids would visit and get down in the floor to give her attention.

Rain, thunder and lightning once again hitting this little corner of the world. Rained most of the morning, then just clouds. Just started all over again.

Had to drive across town to pick up grandson from school. Flooded streets, a few trees down from the 30-40mph winds. It was calm then, but it’s POURING down right now. Luckily, this new neighborhood for us has adequate storm drain system rather than dry-wells in the old neighborhood.

These are gorgeous horses and enormous in size.

And, as I am sure you noticed, these are not just any Clydesdales either. Hope you don't mind that I shared your horses with Amy's Place. They fit in with Billie's horse/snow theme perfectly.

I would love to see them in person. I'm sure they would tower over me.

We are currently in between the worst of the storms, so I thought it would be safe to fire up my computer but now the rain is coming down again and the wind is starting to blow. This is turning into a real frog-strangler!

Sounds like you are getting it a bit worse than we have today. Yesterday the winds were very bad here, but today has mostly just been a lot of rain. The ground here just can't absorb any more water.

Hi jaycee. We are doing okay here. The winds haven't been too bad today. But there is another storm coming tomorrow and this one may not be over yet.

If you are trying to place me on a map, I am just a few miles south of Visalia in the Central Valley. Amy is about a 45 minute drive north. :-)

I don't know about Amy, but we are not in a flood zone. I am thankful for that. The streets in town flood here and there, but not where our house is located.

When I was a kid, my mother fixed this occasionally - (she hated cooking), and I was just thankful that we didn’t have to eat fried SPAM again!!!

Trip to doc appt was uneventful. No rain there or back. There was a thunderstorm while in his office.

Marissa is fine; her tonsil is still swollen but no strep. He said just a viral infection. She can continue taking the antibiotics since she does have water in one ear and she has a tendency for ear infections.

Marissa finished her homework while I was fixing dinner. She in now taking her bath. Since I gave her a lousy dinner last night, I tried to do better tonight. :)

We had baked halibut, baby lima beans, raw baby carrots and fruit.

Hey, I enjoy fried spam once in awhile. I fry it and make a sandwich or serve it with scrambled eggs. I’m not fond of chipped beef on toast but occasionally I make hamburger gravy and serve it on toast or mashed potatoes. Is that country or what?

I will try to get back later; I need to finish up a couple of things before bedtime.

Hamburger gravy is an old favorite of mine!! Yummmmm!
