Worst Films of All Time?

Posted on 01/06/2010 9:42:42 AM PST by ctdonath2

In the spirit of the current thread "Best Films of all Time?", I just have to ask for the other end of the spectrum.

I don't mean "Night of the Lupus", "Attack of the Killer Tomatoes", or other standard bad/forgettable films. I don't mean just box-office flops. I want to see tour-de-force bad.

any film associated with . . . Sofia Coppola

Sofia Coppola was featured as Talia Shire's infant baptised at the end of The Godfather.

I actually meant to say “PRE-1980 Saturday Night Live skits” but I forgot. I loved the “Blues Brothers” and Coneheads. The post 1980 stuff has mostly been TERRIBLE, both on the air and what those Hollywood boneheads try to pass off as movies.

Are we the only ones who truly appreciate this greatest masterpiece of all time? I think you are right - it is truly bad, which is what makes it so good.

Plan 9 from Outer Space

I loved the grave stones moving as they walked by, and the hubcap space ships. Back then you could make a lousy movie for about $50. Now Hollywood spends a hundred million and the quality of the wighting isn't any better than Ed Wood's "Stupid Stupid Stupid".

OK, my list:

1) The Fast and the Furious

2) Urban Cowboy, or anything else with John Revolting, for that matter

3) Rhinestone

4) The Star Wars prequels

5) King Ralph

6) City Slickers

7) Eyes Wide Shut

8) Speed 2

9) Good Will Hunting

10) Anything with Ben Affleck, Matt Damon, or Leo DeCrappio

“Seven”. God, I hated that film.

That was the first thing I thought. What a horrid movie indeed.

Yea but Jurassic Park 2 did have one classic line. “ooh ahh, sure that’s how it all starts, then there’s running and screaming”
