We are deranged because we don't mind ocean-going herd animals being harvested for food and other products?
What about tuna, crab, and lobster fishermen? Are they also evil?
If there was a food shortage in the world it would be different to slaughter whales...but, there is not!
And to have no respect for the beauty and magnificence of whales or any other species just because they are NOT human, shows a total lack of humanity in my opinion.
Just because humans have the means to do so, doesn't quality them to take the lives of any other being just for the 'sport' of it or 'just because they can.'
It's not 'disgraceful' as some redneck conservatives seem to think to show compassion and admiration for species that reside outside the species of 'man!'
