10 minutes of chatter between Seacrest, the judges and Miley Cyrus before the singing actually begins.
Lee is first with Joe Cocker's "The Letter". It's decent. He seems more at ease this week.
Randy: Bluesy, soul version of the song. You knocked it out of the park!
Ellen: (compares him to her favorite pen, how it always writes well, never want to lose a favorite pen, etc.) My favorite pen is back!
Kara: I've never seen or heard you look better. Control over your vocals. Believe that you're good.
Simon: I'm really, really surprised you chose that song. Because that to me wasn't a recording song. Corny. Doesn't define you as a contemporary recording artist.
