Thinking of you Kassie. With the services yet to come there is closure of sorts in site.

Good morning everyone.... Still snowing here. Amazing the variance of snow in our areas. I have been around a bit yesterday and as usual, much more to the northern part of NE Ohio than further south. Akron & Cuyahoga Falls & Peninsula, minor amounts compared to Burton, Hudson & our area. But it is all a nuisance to me at this point. The dogs however LOVE it! Walking in it & taking pix in it is fine, but other matters - NOT

I enjoyed watching the opening ceremony, when I was awake. Continued to doze off & missed a lot. Hope all are doing well & Happy Valentine's day to all the lovers here!!!!

:-)

Good morning!

I'm looking at 5 inches of snow. The dogs loved frolicking in it, but they were quick to scratch at the door to come back inside where it's warm. I myself am looking forward to its being warm outside....something called SPRING.

Jemian, enjoying the taste of your BBQ sandwich means that you are getting better!

Kassie, I'm so sorry to read about the loss of your Mom. May she RIP.

Toby, it's a marvelous thing that Allie and her Dad are doing, and I know that you are very proud of that young lady. I laughed out loud reading your comment that the boys would eat saw dust if it were on a plate. Proves that they are regular males growing up fast.

These cold days I'm into comfort food....hot soup!

Aww... take care of yourself.

Just got back from donating blood. The attendants were fun.

Good Morning/Evening!

Good Morning. Still struggling with the BP. I will be glad when they decide what to do about it. Half a cup of coffee spiked it this morning. Hard telling how long it will take to get it to start back down.

I need to fix a salad to take to the church for a funeral dinner.

Good morning everybody, I’ve been busy getting ready for a pickin’ party we are hosting this afternoon. We’ll have about 6-7 musicians and anywhere from 50-100 people. (100 if every person we invited showed up)

Instead of my normal pot luck, we’re having the event earlier in the afternoona and are just having folks bring appetizers, deserts etc. because many Valentines dances are being held tonight and folks will want to get out for those.

I am heating up a crockpot full of store-bought meatballs, will put out some chips / salsa, a store-bought cake and some summer sausage on crackers that I got for free. Also providing bottled water and lemonade.

Jem, prescient you are! You asked yesterday for an update on Noelle and I received one this morning. Here ‘tis:

” I’m thrilled to report that Noelle is doing very well. She has been moved to the “growers and eaters” wing of the NICU. She is 10 weeks old and weighs 3 pounds 15 1/2 ounces! She took her first bottle this week. Granted, it was only an ounce but its a start! She still has the feeding tube, and the bottle feeds will gradually increase until she is weaned to the bottle/breast. It seems that it takes less energy for preemies to drink from a bottle. She is in an open-air crib now, but still having some help with a low-flow oxygen set up. She is gaining weight more rapidly now. One doctor told me she only had to gain weight and “all her problems would melt away.” I bought her some preemie sleepers...she must be one of the best dressed babies on the unit! She needs sleepers to keep her body warm. And she looks like her Daddy...which is to say, she is beautiful!

Thanks for your continuing prayers and positive thoughts!”

Afternoon, Terry and Allie called tracy from Brazil and talking about one hapy ‘youngun’ it is Allie, Yep, this is a happy old man, SIL and Allie in Brazil working for the Lord, shoot, if I were only younger I would be right in there with them.

For some reason my chickens are not laying in the hen house, all over the place. Sure wish D would let me ring their necks, pluck the feathers and eat them up. My roosters, what started out as 1 to the flock has turned into 6 chasing the chickens. Tried to give some workers 3 roosters but could not chatch them.

Caleb, the younger of the two adopted boys, is wide open al the time, NEVER slows down, getting into everything. S’a house looks like a fort with all the locks on the doors to keep him in but he does makes those ‘escapes’ about once a day, comes right to my ‘shack in the back’. Those two adopted boys do not feel adoptive at all, 100% part of this family.

Growing up fast is sooooo right, 100% little boys and I mean they get into everything BUT, they know they can escape to ‘pawpaw’s house’ when they get into trouble.

By the way, HI!

I’m trying. It is so frustrating to me because I was just now getting active and involved again. Big, big sigh.

It now begins again. Bed rest, only short times sitting, no lifting anything over 7 pounds. Having to rethink how to move from point A to point B. Car? Motorcycle? Stay home?

People here comment that they don’t see me very often. Nope, they haven’t. I was just beginning to become social again (basketball games, group activities). That is on hold.

/pity party

This is where God wants me at the moment and I need to be content and wait on Him. He does things to make me holy. That process, while undergoing it, doesn’t have to make me happy. Be patient, Jem. Focus on the blessings of community and that it wasn’t more serious.

Hey there! Prayers up for Allie, et al. I’m proud and happy right along with you.

Condition update: I wasn’t able to get to sleep last night. There is no position that doesn’t hurt. Took the last pain pill at 9pm and was still awake at 11. I decided that since the pain meds weren’t working, I would switch to the sleep meds. Took 2 benadryl at 11. Slept until 3. Took 2 more. Slept until 6:30.

My new plan: skip the evening pain meds. Take sleeping aid about 8:30 so I can get some sleep through the night. I don’t like mixing pain and sleeping meds.

Pain is centered right at the bottom of the spine. Still pretty bad. Oy vay.
