My dad used to tell a story about getting his cousin from the city to pee on the electric fence at the farm. It was one of those, “I bet you can’t hit the wire...you go first” things.
Always made me squirm a little.

They “busted” it, but the real “meat and ‘taters” would have been to actually “piss on the 3rd rail”.

Yes, but they were disproving stories about motormen peeing on a third rail... about 600 v dc. Power lines run from 30,000 volts on up to 300,000 v. Plenty enough to arc across the breaks in the urine stream.
