Bravo! Mrs. Romney has done numerous interviews on her own where she discusses her multiple sclerosis and how it has affected her life. She always points out what a supportive husband she has had; how Mitt took over the cooking (which she loves to do) for example, and how his dedication to her over the years has helped her cope with her disease.
To equate their experience and marriage with Edwards who cheats on his dying wife is disgusting. And it shows clearly the caliber of those who are Romney haters on this forum. Why anyone would value their opinions on politics or anything else is beyond me.
The RNC has most likely made up it's mind but it should be seeking out viable candidates who will support constitutional principles, rather than the same old go along to get along crap.
The Nation is too far left already, and Romney isn't going to stop the slide, or reverse it. Slowing things down isn't enough!
Why wouldn’t Mrs. Romney discuss her battle with multiple sclerosis with Neal Cavuto? He suffers from the same disease. It’s posters like you who make Free Republic a laughing stock.
Nothing about the five sons wanting to go to Afghanistan?
Edwards wife definitely wore the pants. She was a successful, hard bitten lawyer in her own right, and she played the Southern Bell way better that up from the cotton mills Breck Girl.
Why? Romney is not the President. He won't even come close to being the president. Why would you care about some non-starter ignoring you? It still is not an excuse for gutter talk.
When I was a kid I was hooked on WWII aircraft, and the air war over Europe. A neighbor down the street was a B-24 pilot and got shot down and captured spending a couple of years in a camp. I asked him how come he didn’t get a POW license for his car. He said he didn’t want to be a professional POW.
Anyways, what else can one talk to Mitt about to soften him, try to get a bridge to people with? He’s wicked dull. Stiff, plastic. Doesn’t drink, or smoke or drive fast cars. Never played sports, has no barracks tales. He doesn’t even have any good, interesting political stories.
How many times has Romney run for President? how many times does the voters say NO...
There's a hateful and vicious wolf pack that for more than a year has stalked all threads referring to Romney. I'm not a Romneyite, but I, like many others, get attacked instantly if we have one single positive word to say about the man.
These attackers get away with personal assaults because they know the operator of this site dislikes Romney intensely. I've really had enough of this crap on a site I love.....and I don't look forward to the year ahead to when this forum will REALLY turn ugly.
I don't even refer FR to others any more because of these obsessive, rabid posts attacking Romney (and now Mrs. Romney) personally.
If this compulsive wolf-packing continues, I'm withdrawing my regular donations. I alway vote with my wallet when bad things force me to.
I've been an active freeper since 1998, and have NEVER been moved to utter and total disgust like I have been with the actions of the ever-roaming, hate-Romney wolf pack.

I agree with much of what you said. I don’t think he has used his wife to further his career and I agree he looks adoringly at her. Seems very proud of her in my book. Edwards, on the other hand, barely noticed his wife, because it was all about him.
I think Romney is exactly what this country needs at this time. I recently talked with someone who worked with him prior to the olympics in Utah. He told me that when the committee was so deep in debt they contacted Romney. He agreed to come onboard but would not take any pay. He ultimately got them out of debt and left the committee in great condition with enough money to maintain the grounds and buildings for two years after the olympics closed. They paid him at the end and he donated it all to charity. Sounds like a great person to me!
Bravo, MinuteGal, bravo.

I am going to play devils advocate. If you have a choice between Romney or 4 more years of Obozo, who would you choose?
Just asking. I am in a quandry. I am no Romney fan, but I also despise Obozo and know he will destroy the US, maybe by the end of this year.
Sound like 2008 to ya?
“How many times has Romney run for President? how many times does the voters say NO...”
Once, dunce. And Reagan ran for President three times. Geez.
We used to be able to have great, lively discussions on this forum minus this constant level of hate. It's really leaving me with a bad taste in my mouth. Sad.
What a whiner you are, what a baby, waaaahhhhhh.......
You are disgusting. Mitt RomneyCARE, the fascist,
should be home taking care of his ill wife, instead
of pimping her through a long Presidential campaign
for nothing twice.
Shame on you both for not considering HER interests
first.
Romney can be very selfless when called for. Recently, he raised huge amounts of money for Scott Brown’s campaign via his Facebook page. He didn’t talk about himself, just Scott and the campaign. We know how successfully that turned out. Mitt gets results.
The Romneys have one of the strongest marriages I’ve ever seen, a match made in Heaven.
