Normans were French and not Vikings!
Normans are the descendants of Norsemen, or in other words, Vikings. They conquered the northern part of France, and gave that area their name.

I don’t see it that way. norsemen were northmen...which were men north of whomever gave them the name “norse”. It could’ve been people from paris if people from lyon gave them that name.
