Obama Nation = Plantation Nation?

It as curious to you as it is to me, why some of the biggest pushers of the socialist/fascist Obama/Pelosi/Reid Nanny State agenda are among mega-rich? Like the glamorous Hollyweird types, Warren Buffett and even some of the Silicon Valley gazzionaires... what do they know that we don't? In my observations the socialist/fascist state IS much like an antebellum southern plantation! The "limousine liberals" that run the place are the “chosen” and are “better” people… who “care” greatly for all of us... the great unwashed. These “chosen” know most of us ordinary folk won’t spend our money and live our lives our lives like we should… so they must, for our own good, essentially ration our freedom to keep us in line! This is why liberals like Obama, Pelosi and Reid ALWAYS side with the tyrants of the world!

The bitter irony is our first African-American (black) president is leading the charge to create this 21st century “Plantation Nation”! With the economic disasters of “Cap and Trade” and government “Health Care” on the horizon... fighting “global warming” (err… “Climate Change”), the soon to be rationed health care and the incremental strangulation of the private sector (by “Czars” and hyper-bureaucrats), will soon put most of our freedom ON ICE! What's the difference between a "Health Czar" determining your "worth to society" before allowing treatment for whatever ails you... and an antebellum plantation owner deciding if an injured slave is worth saving or shooting? Not much! Welcome to ObamaCare and ObamaNation/Plantation Nation!

It is a blatant power grab. I prefer to think of it as sending us back to the Middle Ages where your societal status was determined at birth. A meritocracy is something they despise.

Recall that the Democrat party has been the Party of Slavery for very-nearly two full centuries.

Earlier, they used people of African ancestry to convert cotton seeds into cotton bales; now they use people of African ancestry to convert (other peoples) dollars into votes.

Plantation Yesterday, Plantation Today, Plantation Forever!!!

Did you know that before the Civil War blacks owned other blacks as slaves in the South? Supposedly black slave owners were the cruelest toward their slaves. Nothing has changed. Obama is the new black slave master, and the entire United States is his plantation if Obamacare passes.

The only difference is that they want EVERYONE on the plantation, now, not just black people. And the elite may be people of various color, but all one creed — Marxism.

I don’t think this has as much to do with “slavery” as it does with insecurity. I think these media/Hollywood celebrity types are astonishingly insecure; wouldn’t you be if you saw all the headlines written about you that people are reading in the supermarket tabloids while standing in line?

They certainly are aware that there are many more of us than of them, and if things got really nasty we would probably not want to sit down and have a polite “discourse” with them as much as we would simply want to tear down the gates of their mansions.

The phrase “bread and circuses” keeps coming to mind.

I understand your point and sort of agree with it. Now toss Liberation Theology, preached by Rev. Wright and others, into the equation, and the social structure could be two sets of peasants. Those with the means to (previously) support themselves and those that were previously held in bondage by the gov’t with ineffective social policies, that will continue supported by the first set of peasants.

Great post on a number of levels. Those of us who fought for states rights lost to an industrial cabal of corporatist statists with a army of poor new immigrant soldiers who were told if they fought they would become citizens. The plantation “corporation”, which was economically in charge of the Confederacy was not, however the motivating factor of Secession. What was the major factor that tipped support was the well documented selective tariffs imposed by the Northern dominated Congress at the behest of Northern industrialists. These tariffs directly affected the merchant class, the middlemen and the “littler” people who no longer could make a living under this tariff scheme. They voted to secede. Northerners had made sure that any census of the South did not count proportionally more than the North. At this time women and blacks could not vote, and neither could immigrant non citizens. They did all this with the centerpiece of economics being cotton and the growth of Great Britain’s industrial mills and competition on the world market, and the Westward expansion of the US. The tariffs made sure the cotton supply stayed with the oligarchs in New England, and their friends in the railroads expanding West. Slavery was an important part of the “capital” difference that gave the upper hand to the South if it was allowed to continue. The North of course for generations had abused an unknowing immigrant labor force, and child labor in their mills, without any concern for “rights”. The self righteousness was easy— no pay for slaves vs. low pay and death for the slaves of industry-which was worse- why, slavery of course. If the South had had the industrial base of the North they would have won the war without the recognition of England (who had supposedly stopped slavery, at least at home, prior to all this). Within a generation, slavery would have disappeared as a result of industrialization. By destroying the South, northern oligarchs moved their mills to the South, and enslaved 3 generations of whites and blacks in low pay industrial slave work. And when they were through with that, they closed the mills and moved them to Asia. Lovely bunch these corporatists.

The key to this excellent blog is that the result of the war was replacement of the plantation aristocracy and power structure with statist and generational “government plantation” mentality. The substitution of the govt. welfare state, the nanny state, for private welfare of any kind has reached its pinnacle with Obama. Our very health care and personal choices in that care are intended to be taken over by the State. We will then be fully enslaved. Corporatists, the so called “private sector” of crony capitalists, have willingly gone with this because the small group in control will continue to be part of the club. Just like FDR and the New Deal. And, one had better be in their party to get a job
.
Fidel Castro created a great plantation for himself, he being the acknowledged bastard son of a prominent Cuban plantation owner. He created a prison island of slaves. That is why Hollywood loves him- they love the subservient nature of the “little” people that has to exist for the system to exist. Chavez is the same way. There is a chance for all of us who love freedom. We must stop this. The most eloquent people to talk with about this are Eastern Europeans (Poles, Romanians,...) who have tasted the cool water of freedom and cannot conceive of a world without it. States rights is returning- some 33 states have bills in process to deny federal mandated taxes and “reform”.
It is a time for those who love freedom to take action- or we will no longer have a Republic.
The corporatists do not want to pay for health insurance, and are glad to shift this to the “govt”, as they don’t pay taxes anyway. The statists marxists like this “reform” because they have more power over the individual. Thank you so much for this post and this excellent blog.

I never paid attention to them since their lives don’t interest me. But good points, there.

These are the types of people who from their position of authority, "you better know your place and stay there", "we know what is best for you", "you need to be protected from yourself since you are not smart enough". These people are one of the same. I despise these types. They also hide behind the mantra of "society ....." such as "society will not tolerate this...."

To all of them, ****em.

One of the rules of plantation owners was to set slave against slave. House slaves against field slaves. Lighter skin color against dark. That is what they use to keep us distracted and divided.

Very good writing. I had a friend’s mom lose her job in a textile mill. They are in Western Kentucky. I use to travel to the South on business and I remember seeing from the plane the skeletons of what once was several industrial complexes such as in Birmingham AL.

So, whose house slave is Obama? It’s been said by more “authentic” blacks.
