Well - I thought we could all use some good news.
Was up in the wee hours of the morning watching TCT.TV and this Sid Roth Program comes on (It's Supernatural).
The host interviewed a man named John Fenn.
John has done some unusual things.
You will need to watch the video at the link to learn more.
But the one thing that really made me smile was that John Fenn who was "caught up into heaven" like the Apostle Paul was:
2 Corinthians 12:2: 2I know a man in Christ who fourteen years ago--whether in the body I do not know, or out of the body I do not know, (B)God knows--such a man was caught up to the (D)third heaven.
Oh my! That bad, huh?
Cool. But I’d rather have my beer making equipment than my cat if that’s OK.
I remember an old episode of the Twilight Zone in which an old hillbilly who drowns with his hound dog while out hunting refuses to enter heaven because his dog wouldn’t be allowed in. I understand that hillbilly completely.
Paul was an apostle whose writings were breathed by the Holy Spirit.
Are you saying the same is true of John Fenn?

This is why I trust the Bible alone for doctrine.
“If my pets aren’t there, perfection is sorely underrated.”
But it is God who defines perfection, no?
I won’t add my opinion of the pets in heaven issue, but I will say that when I knew him, Sid Roth was one of the most rational and balanced Christians I had known at that time.
I haven’t seen him or watched any of his programs in many years, but I assume that’s still the case.

That sounds as though it’s noble but you should re-think it, it is actually very rebellious.
The Son of God came to prepare a place for you. In His Father’s house are many mansions. If it were not so, He would have told you. He came, He lived a perfect life, he raised the dead, gave sight to the blind. He was scourged in the most severe way, which historically was known to expose ribs. Then He was nailed to a cross and slowly suffocated to death, refusing the least amount of herbal pain control, to obtain salvation for YOU.
And you reject this if Fido isn’t there????????
I would LOVE to hold st.KOLBE my yellow lab again.
I had to put down an aggressive (lupus brained) lab last year.
He used to give us the evil eye and go sit alone every since he was a pup.
Finally started attacking everyone.
Even Fr. used to say that dog seems possessed.
So hope he is healed and not in Hell.
My doxie is just a pup but I tell you he is so darn smart.
Compared to my other two Labs they seem like kinda dev. delayed.
I just love this lil doxie so much like I did Kolbe who used to open and close doors for us and the other dogs. Man I miss him.
Yeah being single for life with the KV and at times us being homebound our dogs have always been a source of love and companionship.
My impression from the end of Revelation is that everything else good that God created will be in Heaven. Why not animals?

Yes, it is:

Think we all should remember one thing.....God created animals before He created man! Why would He not allow one of his first creations to reside in heaven? I think we are in for many, many great surprises when we get there and this is one I am looking forward to. But I know He also said there would be no tears in heaven, so if my pet is not there I won’t be sad because He will not allow me to even know! What a win, win situation!!! He is a great and awesome God!!!
Have you ever considered that if pets get to go to heaven then all animals get to go to heaven? After all, if God has made no distinction between man and animals (The whole doctrine of Christianity kind of rests on that premise), then why just our pets that get to go to heaven. How about all the moose and wolves ever created go there too?
And how about all the sparrows and mice and racoons that ever lived get to get to heaven too?
Now lets throw in all the krill, and cockroaches and mosquitoes that ever lived- why not those animals too?
How about bacteria and viruses?
If the animals all get to go to heaven then your apartment is going to have about 50 trillion cockroaches, not to mention the maggots and flies and frogs and rattle snakes.
Will out past cats get along with our dead dogs?
Wherever my animal babies are, will be Heaven, for me.
I have a persistent dream, me and every creature I’ve ever had ride a golden Cadillac convertible looking for “Home.”
We roam the Earth, to its farthest corners, searching for “Home...”
And always at the end, we finally see it, lit up like the Sun, just over the horizon...
I agree with you, Julia, animals are good. No question.
I just don’t think we can know whether they’ll be in heaven, how many, which ones, etc.
You can hope, of course.
I went to my first ever Interational Doggie Brew Fest last year.
Huge mistake....I fell in love with ale.
Cant have more than one due to uric acid levels shooting to the sky..must be allergic.
Top Drop Amber Ale (with a dog as a mascot) and Dechutes Black Butte (a hint of chocolate)
I took my Dachshaund with me and brought KV back a t shirt that had WWJB and Jesus holding a mug of ale on the front.
I plan to go this year, hopefully it is a long drive and an overnight stay.
Might take Yall my lab as the doxie is burnt out on road trips.

Bashing Catholics would be unbiblical. Bashing error-filled Catholicism is doing a favor to those who have been given eyes to see. Superstitions from Rome, traditions of men (from Rome or elsewhere), and silly little Reader's-Digest-religious ideas like hugging your pet in heaven are heretical hogwash that needs to be exposed for what it is...wrong.
And you would do well to listen to Quix carefully, he has a great deal of solid, biblical information and sound doctrine to offer. And, you should ping him as a courtesy when you reference him in a post.
And Quix is right...it is just a wafer. The sacrifice is finished and Jesus is risen! Those are His words, my FRiend. We proclaim Him alive from the dead, never to suffer again, the Conqueror over death, the Giver of Life, the Rescuer of our souls. Forget the trinkets, forget the repetitious chanting, forget the absolution by men, forget all of the ceremonial layering Rome slathers on over this one truth...He is alive to save completely those whom He has foreknown and predestined to become conformed to His image.
