They don’t mention it at the site, but according to their ‘web bot’, there will be a period where there is a more than 90% data drop, almost to zero, on the net. They don’t know why. It slowly comes back, but not to the level it was before the data just ... disappears.

One of my Christian Bro’s software shows the same thing.
He doesn’t know what the phenomenon’s about, either.
Nor even why or how the software ‘discerns’ such things.
I recall reading somewhere a couple of decades or more ago . . . that the gubment EXPECTS SUCH and is planning for it . . . training military personnel to . . . uhhhh . . . communicate with likewise ‘gifted’ other personnel via . . . uhhhh . . . 3rd parties from other dimensions.
Obviously just a parlor trick.

Well..., I can think of one possibility, that is in the Bible and that is happening soon, sometime in our own lifetimes here... it's the Rapture of the church, when Jesus comes back to take away the dead in Christ and any who are living, on this earth, at that time, too.
I would say that over half (to maybe even 75% or more) of the world's data routes through Internet hubs here in the United States. And also, I would say that the Rapture will have more effect on the United States and its infrastructure (including the Internet) than anywhere else in the world, as there appears to be a whole lot higher concentration of Christians here in this country (not enough for my tastes, but higher than anywhere else, it would appear). The infrastructure can only run so long by itself, before starting to seriously degrade, without experts to step in and do necessary repairs, fixes and upgrades.
And so, the disappearance of that many people who work in a variety of key areas will "wreak havoc" upon the whole world. I can imagine that "data" will drop to very low levels at that time, and take a while to build back up.
BUT, having said that, I'm not putting the web bot on the same level as what the Bible says about the Rapture. I can guarantee you that the Rapture will happen (just as much, and in the same way, that any Christian can guarantee you that the resurrection of Jesus happened). However, I can't say that a web bot is anything more than a hi-tech spiritualist, new-ager, seer project, with as much validity as someone examining cat entrails to see the future. LOL ...
