That's assuming they stop at 12.

I keep up with College Football. I had no idea people were ready to run from the Big12. What happened? I think the north division just knows they can’t beat the teams in the southern division. So instead of compete, they just leave. Oh well.

Lemme get this straight:
The Big 12 has 10 teams.
The Big 10 has 12 teams.
The PAC-10 has 11 teams.

Baskin Robbins still has 31 flavors, right?

All about the Franklins. Nebraska just doubled or tripled its income from TV.

Much of it had to do with the television deals the Big XII had as well as how each schooled shared revenue. Also, the schools in the north division felt as though the schools in the south division (mainly Texas) were starting to wield too much power—e.g.: the Big XII title game was moved to Jerry World in Dallas as well as conf. headquarters.

That's not it, the Texas and Oklahoma teams were ready to bolt to the Pac 10. It's all about money. Because of their TV markets the Big Ten and Pac 10 have more lucrative TV deals. The Big 12 will cease to exist within two years or so.

Trivia question: anyone know what the longest running consecutive rivalry in college football is?

Ask any Nebraska football player what that ‘N’ on their helmet stands for and they’ll say “Knowledge”.

From an athletic standpoint this move makes little sense. From an academic standpoint it makes no sense at all.

That's one rumor.

Another has the Big East being raided by the Big Ten, the ACC being raided by the SEC, and then the shambles of the ACC and Big East combining.

Or the Big East gets picked apart by the Big 10 and the SEC then goes back to big city basketball conference.

And there's about 20 other rumors.

No, it’s Nebraska vs. Kansas. Played every year since 1905. In two years that comes to an end.
