Question: Do people applying for mid-level management positions generally have to fill out application forms? I wouldn't think so! And since you are free to omit such information from your resumé (which I hope you'll have a professional editor proofread for you), I don't see this issue ever coming up. Or is that a standard interview question nowadays?
Regards,
You actually corrected his post in quote like an editor???
OMG that is too damn funny...
If the driving record shows DUI when the company places him on insurance the insurance company will notify the company of the record. That is why you need to be up front about things like this- if the company is willing to deal with the issue they will not want to find out about it from the insurance company after hiring.

Where I work they do, and at every company I’m aware of in the same industry (insurance) - and my employer runs a background check on every candidate they’re seriously considering, which at minimum includes a search of public records.
You are wrong. Unless it's a smaller employer, all applicants are usually required to fill out the standard application

You must be kidding. People at the highest ends of management and the professons have to fill out applicatons these days.
What company doesn’t require an application? Any company I’ve ever applied at, no matter the position, required an application. I’ve worked as HR in small businesses and would never hire someone based on only their resume’. Never heard of it.
