When I read these type of threads, replete with soul judgments, I recall Jesus declaring about the surprise people would have on that great and terrible day.
"Lord! When did we see you.....???"
Yes. Going to be a lot. of surprised people. God said it.

this is one cancer I would hate to be diagnosed with, along with pancreatic or colon.
....in reading your post, couldn’t help but think of my Dad who got “clean” of stage 4 (missed by incompetent Drs) bladder cancer only to get diagnosed with upper stomach cancer 6 months later and he hung on in hospice for 5 more months.
Wonder how Hitch will react to this diagnosis....

May the Lord bless him, and heal him on every level, physical, spiritual, in every way.
I want for Hitch what I want for myself.

“It’s not clear what causes esophageal cancer. Esophageal cancer occurs when cells in your esophagus develop errors (mutations) in their DNA. The errors make cells grow and divide out of control. The accumulating abnormal cells form a tumor in the esophagus that can grow to invade nearby structures and spread to other parts of the body. “

"Wonder if hell start believing in God now. I will pray that he does." Yes, I'll pray that he comes to a knowledge of the truth before it's too late for him.
He will come to the knowledge one way or the other. There will be no atheists in hell. They will know for certain there is a God when the Day of Reckoning comes.

May God Our Righteousness reach into this situation and claim Christopher for Himself. Though Christopher may come through as one comes through the fires - may he submit to the only One Who can save his eternal soul. Use his brother (Peter) who knows you, Lord, to testify to your saving grace. Whatever it takes, Lord...I plead for the soul of this rebellious heart. Take this heart of stone & give him a heart of flesh...fit for the Kingdom of God and His Christ.
This, to the glory of God. Amen
And all God's people say "Amen".

Truthfully, when I was younger I didn’t care for that *rule* but as I’ve mellowed in my old age I really don’t want anyone to go to Hell. I know, I know, but it’s just really too horrible to contemplate.

A prayer for the guy. He's got fight in him and he's going to need it for this. A strong spirit can help the body overcome a lot.
I never really paid that much attention to his shtick about atheism...Its his choice to make. So be it. I have always enjoyed his writings.
I also will say a prayer for his family.
Scotch & cigarettes....he shoulda drank more black coffee.

My Mom died of renal cell carcinoma. It was no walk in the park either. I guess they are all bad in their own way. Just seems like some have a lot more chance of a cure than others. I know more breast cancer survivors than other types, for instance. But it seems to get a lot of funding.
