As we end another celebration of Independence Day and remember a generation's sacrifice and achievements long ago, let us renew our determination to protect and serve our country, its peoples' liberties and heritage through the tough times we now endure.

Atlanta traffic just drives me absolutely bonkers.
As bad as Atlanta is in rush hour, I actually think Nashville is worse.
Headache is gone - now have a stomach ache for some reason.
No one can ompete with the traffic in metro D.C.!
Nasvhille is in two weeks. I’ll let you know. We’re finally north of Atlanta and on our way to the SC border. Every time I come back to the country I find the new menus at the various restaurants a bit challenging. It is different each time. McDonalds, Burger King are off the list, as is Panera Breads. Chick Fillet is still on. Cracker Barrel is usually “safe” but every so often I’ll hit a clunker.
Lunch is over. For the next week it will be yucky lunch-room food. Not much protein, over-cooked veggies and a lot of high carb fillers. I’m going to be hungry. If I have a strong will-power this will be a good thing. OTOH, even the safe foods won’t taste good.
I don’t do well in cities. I think there are times when NOT using a car is a good thing.
Just want to get this out now. I’m not sure that I’ll be able to get an ATT signal while at Ridge Haven. Several years ago I had a Verizon phone and it did not work well at all. So, if I’m sporadic in posting you already have the answer.
I think Atlanta is worse than Chicago, and that’s sayin’ A LOT!!!!

I’ve been in Chicago, too, and I agree with you. We’re in the foothills of the Appalachians now in SC. Soon to turn onto 178 and head UP!
That is very common. People who have migraines often exhibit stomach symptoms.
I have family there. There are many parts that are still a wreck from the flood and won’t be the same for years. Has made the already slow economy worse. Zero has done zero for them, but they are making it on their own cause they are not whiners

Band-mates health is coming along or stabilized as far as we know. Our friend that has been so good to help out with mil and fil for years, is terminal. He’s 55.

Yippee!! We are getting rain. I guess the outdoor concert we were planning to attend will be cancelled. That’s all right. We need the rain.

We’re here and settled in. No ATT connection but the building where I am has wireless. There is a chance on Monday we’ll have to move to another building. I really hope not.
I'm wondering...if the First lady goes out and robs a bank (federal offense), will Eric Holder and 0bama give her a pass because she's black? We could use the money...
