"The common method for killing animals was direct contact with the victim," said Mednikova, a professor in the Institute of Archaeology at the Russian Academy of Sciences.I think she means "prey."

Ok, now where is the Captain.

The homo sapien skeleton looks deformed. The skull is asymmetrical as is the pelvis. That is undoubtedly due to 1) some distortion of the image (i.e., an artifact of digital processing) and 2) the skeltons are not being viewed exactly front-on; rather, they are rotated slightly.

hugh ross says that neanderthals are not related to humans Actually that is being challenged and it opens doors into racial differences that many would rather not enter and it's not what you think...in fact the opposite.

It is also believed that the strong arm evolved a necessity to drag the kicking and screaming female to the back of the cave.

This is a ground-breaking statement. Why are you apologizing for such bravado?

This is a scientist's portrayal of what was....except he has put it in a box....and reached a conclusion....
which has absolutely no validity given the vast numbers of living beings who inhabited the earth...way back when....

This is why I hate National Geographic and the history channel.

hugh ross says that neanderthals are not related to humans. but the gov of california looks like a neanderthal.
When I worked I took a bus to the subway and had plenty of time to study the occupants thereof, and I maintain that those Neanderthal genes got passed down to some of our present-day citizens. Occasionally I saw people who had a lot of those features.
To: Pontiac
Most likely the skeletons were fabricated from more than one body IMO.

Light skin is mostly a cosmetic trait selected for by some mothers favoring it in their children. It doesn’t seem likely that Neanderthals were that deep into cosmetic selections. Dark skinned Neanderthals must be politically incorrect to depict.

".. Neanderthal males had Popeye-type right arms, while Neanderthal females had arms that were more evenly matched and not nearly as muscular..." ...or not.
