I’m only 97% Dixie but I blame it on the 3 years I spent in the Navy in Washington state.
What a koinky dink....one of my sisters was in the Navy and was in Washington state. By the time she got out of the Navy (11 years active duty) she didn't have a Southern accent. She spoke w/o any discernable accent. While in the Navy, she was teased for her Southern accent and when she got out we teased her for not having a Southern accent anymore!
