Please. This material is fascinating. Don’t let the idiotic comments stop you from posting this material.

Homo antecessor is very interesting from the Neanderthal/Homo sapiens perspective.

I wonder if a complete or nearly complete skeleton has ever been found?

Hey, that reminds me...
The Neandertal Enigma
by James Shreeve

in local libraries
Frayer's own reading of the record reveals a number of overlooked traits that clearly and specifically link the Neandertals to the Cro-Magnons. One such trait is the shape of the opening of the nerve canal in the lower jaw, a spot where dentists often give a pain-blocking injection. In many Neandertal, the upper portion of the opening is covered by a broad bony ridge, a curious feature also carried by a significant number of Cro-Magnons. But none of the alleged 'ancestors of us all' fossils from Africa have it, and it is extremely rare in modern people outside Europe." [pp 126-127]

Maybe, assuming Charles Manson was stalking people even then.

I’m just relieved it wasn’t a picture of you-know-who.

As you noted elsewhere, pretty much a run-of-the-mill FR thread. ;’)

Thanks ZULU for the kind remarks!

Usually the larger, tougher bones survive as fossils, and the more gracile ones (hands, feet, hyoid bones) are rarer.

“Trouble at the run of the mill!”

“What kind of trouble?”

“I don’t know, there was trouble, that’s all. I didn’t expect the Spanish Inquisition.”

{boom!}

“Nobody expects the Spanish Inquisition!”
