Washington (CNN) -- Conservative talk show host Glenn Beck opened his controversial "Restoring Honor" rally Saturday by urging Americans to "turn back to God" and return the nation to the values on which it was founded.
"Something beyond imagination is happening," he told the large crowds gathered at the National Mall in Washington. "America today begins to turn back to God. For too long, this country has wandered in darkness."

All
FOX could do is run a very anti BECK article written by the AP, indicating that ONLY 1000's attended.
FOX didn't even have the courage to write their own article. What's so fair and balanced about theat?
CNN, for the most part gave are very good objective review of what happened at the event and total attendance.
Quoting Beck:"We are humbled that you are here," he said. "The reflecting pool holds about 200,000 people. This field back here holds about 250- to 300,000 people. They are not only full here, they're full in that field, they're full behind me, and they are now across the street approaching the Washington Monument."

For Liberals and progressives, “turning to God” is always controversial to them because they don’t believe in God.

I would think that Fox would have to stay away from it to some extent. Fox always keeps a fairly strict demarcation between its reporters and its commentators, and Beck is a commentator. Too much coverage of him is to IMHO somewhat self-dealing for Fox. A bit of a no-win situation.

The CNN reporter on scene gave a plain factual account. The CNN “anchor” seemed miffed.

FOX didn't even have the courage to write their own article. What's so fair and balanced about theat? That's FOX for you. If they wrote their own article, they'd be accused to promoting Beck's event. Shocking, I know. But FOX goes out of its way to be unbiased.

You mean that Fox staff got together and said, “Hey, since Glenn is in the Fox family, maybe we should run a third-party story so it won’t seem as if we’re puffing him, as other networks would puff one of their own”?
Boy, how completely irresponsible of them.
Can you detect the sarcasm in my tone?

Aren’t they caught in a tough spot, being he is in their employ? How can they be objective, or fair?

The CNN reporter on scene stated that the crowd filled in the Mall from the Lincoln Memorial down past the WWII memorial and all the way to the Washington Monument.

Fox has changed over the past few years due to Saudi shareholders. Prince bin Tal whatever has ownership stakes in EVERY TV network in the US except maybe CBS/Viacom. He is the Saudi King’s nephew.
Beck was really on Islam when he was at CNN. When he guy to Fox he biddied up with that slime O’Reilly. Both of them made fund of birthers.
I cancelled TV a year ago cause it all sucks, it is all propaganda and ALL the networks which own all the cable channels support The Imam, Islam and the Victory Mosque.

Beck's website had 130,363 viewer toward the end. He was on that C-span place for slow broadband. What will Rush say?

The only thing I could think of is Fox wants to stay away from Beck and being perceived IT had anything to do with the march. Fox doesnt talk about the Freedom Concerts. I understand their point.
