I never really got the hang of X-Files. Though I would also add The Outer Limit's Feasabilty Study, The Chameleon and The Invisibles to the list.
The original Twilight Zone and Outer Limits were made for B&W. Which is why their later incarnations never fared as well.
What was cool about The Outer Limits is that it dealt with facets of science that were cutting edge (DNA, telecommunication, etc) way back then and are considered commonplace today. Outer Limits never really had what would considered a large budget. So the directors used lighting and music to set the tempo and character development to set the tone in lieu of Special Effects.
Jack.

Good episode. I really enjoyed that series (especially the early seasons)

Firefly is one of the best I ever saw. The DVD set is not very good and the DVD's are out of order and missing many critical parts. When it was on HULU last year the episodes were excellent.
Great story line, excellent episodes and characters, just great!

Great series, too bad it got canceled. Real shame it is gone.

The most impressive and controversial Star Trek episode is from Deep Space Nine: In The Pale Moonlight. That episode should be shown in every college ethics class. It is as far away from the original principles of Star Trek as you can get, and the acting was flawless.

Do you remember THE WORLD BEYOND or something like that. It was on just before or after the outer limits, and I’d watch them back to back.

Which one was it where Picard asked for a moment of respect for the inhabited planet that was getting ready to die because he wouldn’t violate the prime directive, or something?

What about Science Fiction Theater with Truman Bradley? There had to be a top ten episode in there somewhere.

Just looking at the title to this thread, I hoped they would have “Blink”.
It’s just so perfect.

By the way I’m pretty sure Netflix has Blink on instant streaming.

“Inner Light” hands down best TNG.

"Demon with a Glass Hand"
I agree...
"City on the Edge of Forever"
Top 25 4-sure.
Two by Harlan Ellison. The Outer Limits, Twilight Zone and even the original Star Trek series used scripts based on real science fiction, written by real SF writers. Some great stories there.

Yesterdays Eterprize was a great episode.
i’ve probably seen it 50 times.

Lost in Space - Return from Outer Space 12/29/1966
Will arrives in a small Vermont town at Christmas time and attempts to contact Alpha Control, but the locals who want to help him don't believe his wild story of being from the Jupiter 2 mission. Back on the alien world (which Will calls "Preplanis"), the Robot stands by to bring Will back from Earth, but Dr. Smith reprograms him for another task which leads to Will apparently being stranded back on Earth in a home for runaways.

I agree. There should have been more than 10.
I can’t believe they left out an SG-1 episode (many good ones to choose from).
One of the best and most entertaining series might be more properly classified as ‘horror’ genre rather than SciFy, is Darren McGavin’s “Kolchak: The Night Stalker”.
If you have never seen it, click on this sample clip link:

This link describes the background of the series. For a bio on Darren McGavin and his wife, Kathie Browne McGavin, click the ‘Home’ link at the top of that page.

[off scify topic]
I always enjoyed watching Darren McGavin in any of his films. And, except for the few times that Mickey Spillane played his own character creation of Mike Hammer, I think Darren McGavin was the best ‘Mike Hammer’ of all. (Spillane showed the really tough side of Hammer, McGavin was tough but had a lighter side and humor.)
