Wikipedia posting staggers left on Christine O'Donnell's Religious Views
Vanity

Posted on 09/19/2010 4:20:37 PM PDT by SantaLuz

Look what someone has placed prominently on Wikipedia at very front of the section describing Christine O'Donnells Religious Views:

In a 1999 appearance on Politically Incorrect with Bill Maher, O'Donnell admitted she had "dabbled in witchcraft" and had a "midnight picnic on a satanic altar." Said O'Donnell, “I dabbled into witchcraft - I never joined a coven. But I did, I did. ... I dabbled into witchcraft. I hung around people who were doing these things. I'm not making this stuff up. I know what they told me they do.”When explaining her experience, she continued,“I mean, there's little blood there and stuff like that. We went to a movie and then had a midnight picnic on a satanic altar.”

By no stretch of the imagination does this describe her religious views. The posting barely touchs on her current religious views. This has the same merit as going back to Obama's religious views in high school and posting them on Wikipedia. I know Wikipedia editors lean so far left that they make a drunk look like he walks straight but someone from her camp should edit this pie of horse poop posting.

Wait a minute here... I thought it was suppose to stagger the right! They have it all wrong!

We are suppose to get very upset about her high school activities but dismiss Coons’s Marxism activities. It is NOT suppose to stagger the left... Coons’s was.

well, you know, it's wikipedia.

but I've always wondered what that damn word meant. Is it supposed to be "wiccapedia"?

Lessee....COD is 41 now. In 1999 she was...about 30. In 1999 she describes this story in the past tense. I’m guessing she was maybe in college or thereabouts when a bunch of sorority sisters decided to have a little hoot party. Heh.

But hey, folks, they’re having such a ball with this silly story, the Lamestream. Americans are not going to believe this devoutly Christian woman is somehow a witch.

Except maybe Karl Rove, I dunno.

Yeah it’s Wikipedia. But a lot of young people and independent voters use it as a information source, unfortunately. It shouldn’t take someone from her campaign long to set the record straight.

I think everyone takes it with a grain of salt. People who want to believe crap can find things to support their beliefs. I think any intelligent person is skeptical of Wikipedia and on the look out for misinformation.

Someone who has the ability to "edit" Wikipedia, please insert the following 'edit' (words noted in bold below) to the sentence...

.."in a 1999 appearance on Politically Incorrect, a comedy show, with Bill Maher...

Give it a shot. Go to Wikipedia and change something to a right slant. It will disappear within minutes.

There are people there who’s hobby is changing entries. Seriously.

Yeah I thought of doing that. But then when I hit the edit button I thought I shouldn’t presume what she would put there...

Took a quick look... who would call CREW a non-partisan watchdog group? Oh, CREW would. I’m guessing that is who is editing the entry.

Thanks for making the changes. But it still doesn’t state her religious views adequately.

She describes it as one of her first dates in Majer’s tape.

She was in High School - confirmed by her today.

I just deleted it from the wiki website. Lets see how long it stays that way.

BTW, anyone can edit a wiki page. just click the little [edit] icon in the lower right corner of every section, edit the info and click “save”

I made the changes about 30 minutes ago and posted a comment to that effect. Somehow my comment didn’t make it’s way to being posted. It’s easy to edit a wiki page, having it remain is another thing alltogether.
