Could I then say the same that using a TYPE II ERROR . . . suffering evidently from the illusion that a TYPE II ERROR is LESS deadly than a TYPE I ERROR, namely that your group has a deep belief in aliens amongst us as a group?

I don’t know anyone in any of those sorts of groups who believe that a TYPE II error is less deadly.

Perhaps you don’t understand.

WHEN ONE ignores the evidence to an extreme degree to avoid ONE of those errors, that increases to a virtual certainty that one will be victimized by the OPPOSITE type error.

The typical naysayers tend to say that

THERE IS NOTHING THERE

AS A PERSONAL BELIEF, OPINION—IGNORING TONS OF QUALITY EVIDENCE—as though, their personal opinion, belief, WITHOUT considering remotely fair-mindedly, if at all, the evidence—they consider that their opinions are fact.

I don’t know of any of my closer associates in any such groups who have that sort of relationship with a TYPE II error.
