PISCATAWAY, N.J. (AP) -- A college student jumped to his death off a bridge a day after authorities say two classmates surreptitiously recorded him having sex with a man in his dorm room and broadcast it over the Internet.
Rutgers University student Tyler Clementi jumped from the George Washington Bridge last week, said his family's attorney, Paul Mainardi. Police recovered a man's body Wednesday afternoon in the Hudson River just north of the bridge, and authorities were trying to determine if it was Clementi's.
ABC News and The Star-Ledger of Newark reported that Clementi left on his Facebook page on Sept. 22 a note that read: "Jumping off the gw bridge sorry."

God’s will will be done whatever it is. The death of a a US soldier or a Taliban soldier is probably irelevant to his grand design. That being said, I do believe God favors the strong. The weak may indeed inherit the earth but it may not be in the fashion they had anticipated.
Well I think those two individuals will get plenty of crap
since they targeted a “prtected class” and will no doubt get tried for a hate crime as well.
I blame them for being heartless beasts who wanted to humiliate this kid.
And what a fine job they did
>>God hates the weak I think. Otherwise he would protect them.<<
That is cruel.
Sometimes the weak learn to protect themselves with God’s help. God lets us live our lives and work with what He has seen fit to equip us with.
God didn’t protect me when I was the picked-on kid, per se. But He gave me a mother who gave me an inner strength that allowed me to endure.
Enduring is not fun.
Sorry, my bad. I misread the story. I thought it was a different case.
>>The death of a a US soldier or a Taliban soldier is probably irelevant to his grand design. <<
How could you POSSIBLY know, you presumptuous egotist.
God’s plan is unknown and unknowable to any man. He gave us rules, we follow them, then we leave the rest to Him.
I am sorry I thought this was a separate case. Time for reading glasses.
Sure. Happens all the time.

>>But even stranger is the fact that most FReepers blame the two video voyeurs for his death.
And as far as I can tell - they DID NOT drive him to the GW bridge. They DID NOT throw him off the bridge.<<
In a sense, they did. This immoral and illegal act put him in a place where he didn’t see a way out.
Like I said — a stupid, immoral and reckless (and mean) generation.
Really sad over this story. Didn’t have to happen.
God favors the strong. This simple truth plays out every second of every day. It has always been so and it will always be so. It is one of the most ultimate truths of our existence.
So very sad. May God welcome this boy into his kingdom and forgive the two who sent him there. Many lives were ruined by this cruel act. Hopefully some good will come of it. A very sad story. God forgive us all.

“I don’t see why he would kill himself over it”.
Maybe it is possible that his parents didn’t know this information about their son. Maybe he thought he would be judged by others or maybe he was humiliated to the point of suicide over the fact that something “personal” was put on display. Shame on the two who wanted to hurt a person this way. I personally would be devastated if I thought I was responsible for someone taking their life but that’s me. Just a thought
God created the weak...I have a hard time believing he hates them. He also created leaders who can teach and inspire the weak to do great things. He also created the strong, some of whom choose to be compassionate and protect those incapable of protecting themselves and some who are so insecure they must elevate themselves by putting down others.
Which are you?

God favors the just.
Existence may favor the strong but it shows how little you know about God.
You are either an atheist or just arrogant (my money is on both).
Strength comes from unexpected places.
How can you know otherwise?
>>How can you know otherwise?<<
Read for comprehension. I said it is unknowable.
You should quit demonstrating your complete lack of knowledge of anything and everything about God.
He even has a place for you in His Plan. But OTOH, He also has a place for every cockroach in His Plan as well.

That is the weirdest post I have ever read on FR, and there have been many.
God created existence.

I'm neither really. I believe in God and I believe he is fully in control of everything. What I don't believe is that one faith has a monoploy on Gods will. I believe I am entitled to believe in God as I wish and I believe he favors the strong. I believe his world is proof of this. You may believe in and worship God as you wish, it is a free country after all.
