The new True Grit looks like it is going to come very close.

North to Alaska. (1960)

A remake of The Spoilers (1942)

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0035369/combined

Which was a remake of the original film version (The Spoilers (1914)), but I haven’t seen that one.

“Airplane!” was much better than “Zero Hour!”.

Also, “Dirty Rotten Scoundrels” was far superior to the original, “Bedtime Story.”

Heaven Can Wait, with Warren Beatty? I heard it was a remake of something but I can’t remember the original.

I preferred the original La Femme Nikita, to Point of No Return.

Wizard Of Oz. The silent version was awful.

Wasn't that the one with David Niven? I don't know. I thought that was hilarious.

I hate to say this, but I actually think the remake of “Gone in 60 seconds” was better than the original.

Although I didn’t think this when I first saw the remake, once I re-watched the original I realized that my memory of the movie was much better than the actual movie.

The 2004 version of ‘Man on Fire’ with Denzel Washington was far better than the 1987 version.
