It's the news her legion of male admirers have dreaded – voluptuous Mad Men star Christina Hendricks is going on a diet.

The 35-year-old, who has a stunning 39D-30-39 figure, has told friends she wants to lose more than two stone (28 pounds) to conform with Hollywood’s svelte stars.

Christina has become an icon of curvaceousness, thanks to her role as Joan Holloway in the Sixties-set drama.

Christina has got sick of all the talk of her being the curviest woman in Hollywood. For her it basically meant she was being called fat,’ says a source.

(snip) ‘Christina’s cut out carbs, and alcohol, although she’s not a big drinker. She’s eating fish oil to break down fat and pak choi and edamame nearly every meal. She hopes the first stone will fall off in the next month or so.’

Well phooie! Just when you think a real woman is rising in Hollyweird, she trips over her growing ego and loses it. Shucks!

If she has curves, they will still be there after she loses fat.

This battle to rebrand fat as curves is annoying.

She has a fat ass.

I think she was in, a few years back, a movie on anorexia/bulimia.

I remember her from Firefly. She had a recurring role.

Sort of like "Harry Mudd" in Star Trek.

Never got around to watching Mad Men.

The article made reference to losing "two stones". Is that the English equivalent to ten pounds or a dozen pounds?

On a somewhat unrelated matter: is Mad Men any good? I've never watched.

A few extra pounds are preferrable to anorexia.

She is nice enough, but just looking at the picture provided -

Her face is plain. Not ugly, but I’ve seen better.

Her boobs are too big, pushed up uncomfortable so. Are they enhanced, or do they drop when out of the bra? Either way, their too large for my taste.

She’s a bottle red head, and not a very pleasant shade at that.

And most importantly, it doesn’t look like she is a very athletic, fit person. She doesn’t look like she’d make one lap around the track, if you know what I mean.

All that being said, I’m not going to spend all night defending my taste in women. If she asked me out for dinner, I’d gladly go!

LOL!

Don’t think I’m going to make a list that long.
